Stayed the same this week

I’m going to drink more water this week. I’ve been casually tracking & now I need to start pushing myself a little. I think weighing daily helps me more. I’m going to increase my water & keep my cals at 1400. Roughly.

You will have weeks where the scale doesn’t move or even goes up. The body is mostly water so lots of fluctuations with retention

True. And you don't want to try to game or manipulate your body's water fluctuations: Shifts in water retention are part of how a healthy body stays healthy. As long as generally in good health - no subsystems broken - our bodies know what they're doing in this respect, and it's good to let them do it.

Staying adequately hydrated is good. Overdoing it isn't. If your urine is pale yellow, that's about right. You want a color kind of like straw, maybe brighter neon-ish if you're getting more than you need of certain water-soluble vitamins, but not clear (overhydrated) and not dark (underhydrated).

Correct. As with many things, more isn’t always better. You have people touting a gallon of water a day and under most conditions all they’re doing is washing away certain minerals and electrolytes. It does however aid fatloss as running to the bathroom every half hour burns calories.
