V/VG pro filter

Hello MyFP. I’m vegan. And I pay for pro version of app. lots of the recipes and tips (eg how to eat more protein) that come up are meat based. How about a subscriber feature that allows you to filter Vegan , Vegetarian, Gluten free or whatever so tips and recipes are relevant to your lifestyle

If you want to suggest a new feature, you should put the suggestion here:

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/categories/feature-suggestions-and-ideas

By posting in this part of the Community, you're not talking to MFP staff, you're talking to other regular MFP users with no more power than yourself. The staff doesn't read every Community post.

FWIW, I didn't find it difficult to get adequate protein (around 1g/day/pound of estimated LBM) as a vegetarian, once I analyzed my logged food for a while and tweaked my routine eating habits to increase my protein intake at lowered calories. However, I'd been vegetarian for over 40 years at that point, so I didn't need a lot of help identifying candidate protein foods.

I did find this thread helpful, though:

As a vegan, you'll need to scroll past the mostly meat-y fish-y foods near the top of the linked spreadsheet, but plant foods are in there as you scroll down.

If you're not already familiar with it, and are relatively new to veganism, you may also find this site helpful:

    https://veganhealth.org/

It's an evidence-based vegan nutrition site, with content from registered dietitians who are vegans, not one of those poorly-scienced advocacy sites.

    Best wishes!
