    @Creamtea42 Slow and steady wins the race; 5 1/2 pounds in a month is fabulous. I also read that going slow means less excess skin. Since I had/have 80+ pounds to lose (almost half way there) it is a big fear for me. 😁

    @ddainiak thanks for encouragement & I agree with slow & steady …..just want to lose this weight … never been this determind before! You are doing amazing… I haven’t really considered loose skin, but at 56, sure it will be an issue - if & when I get to goal🥴😵‍💫😳

    @Creamtea42 You'll get there. I found that posting my goals to the world and of course these challenges keep me accountable. I'm also doing the Hogwarts challenge (if your a Harry Potter fan - check it out - really fun) and the biggest Loser Challenge (Yes I'm crazy - but they kind of overlap).

    A few of you had inquired about the Hogwarts challenge - just an FYI the next one starts June 16th. I just completed my first term and it was really fun; and can honestly say that it was the biggest contributor to my success the last couple of months. If your a Harry Potter fan check it out.
    Friday, June 2nd - The application will be posted on the forums.
    Term 45 will be a 5-week term themed around the summer and a field trip - a long term visit to tour the Ministry of Magic! The term will run from Friday, June 16th (with full activities beginning on the Monday afterwards) through Sunday, July 23rd. Students will also have a few days into the term to submit their starting weigh-in.

    05/16-193.6-(Trend Weight: 194.3)- The progress should have been much better but it was a foodie week. My Birthday, Mother’s Day and some general out-of-town travel, and a trip to the Emergency Room didn’t help my cause. Hopefully this week will be better although I’m already on day 2 of travel.

    05/23-197.0-(Trend Weight: 195.5)- I’ve really put some thought into this and decided it is a cross between laziness and depression. I just don’t feel like meal planning or cooking. I have a grab ‘n go mentality right now. When my depression sets in I really have a hard time following through with anything. No focus. Feet dragging the ground. A bit listless. I don’t have the energy to exercise, or plan, or research or do any of those things I normally do. I’ve really got to pull this together.

    05/30-194.2-(Trend Weight: 194.8)- A nice improvement this week but it feels like I’m a million miles away from the 180’s and I touched down there and need to get back! Lots of work ahead of me but I feel up for it today now that all the nearby holidays and celebrations are over.

    May reflection - Another winner for me - down 5.2 pounds (my goal is a pound a week). Got into Onederland and kept it there. I logged 218.3 miles on my fitbit, the most miles so far. I am at 932 miles to my 2,023 goal; tracker says I will get there on November 24. 😁 I have added strength training (and a little tai chi) to my exercise routine. Fnished planting the garden. I was on track with my knitting goal, but then I finished the sweater I had been working on for eons, and haven't started a new project so stopped. I started out well with the reading - but finished the book and haven't started another. I'll need to work on those and incorporating 6-8 glasses of water daily into my daily routine. Looking forward to seeing what June brings. I love the summer!

    These is our container gardens - Corn, peas, cumcumber, tomatoes, peppers, and herbs (parsley, basil, thyme, and rosemary). Also have brussell sprouts and broccolli in containers on the back deck (our neighborly groundhog loved them last year so put them on the deck so he can't get them). And potatoes and carrots not in the picture. The marigolds keep the bugs away.
