Successes/Struggles:
10 days post-op – I’m getting out and about, doing my physio exercises, and the walking program. The right leg (the new hip) is swollen but pain is minimal.
My boyfriend is staying with me for a week or two and doing most of the cooking (We have been out for dinner once and lunch once). I’m eating what’s put in front of me without counting calories but I’m prioritising protein and calcium, and not stuffing my face with sweets and doughnuts!
I’m weighing myself out of interest but I know the weight is skewed by fluid retention.

Successes/Struggles: My weight is down this morning. It should help my monthly average a little. I'm glad I had the extra week. I was on retreat for 3 days and since I need to be gluten free couldn't eat the pastas, breads, and desserts. That was a "blessing." I had plenty to eat but if I could have, I would have eaten a lot more carbs!2 -

Successes/struggles of the week: My downward trend seems to be reversing now. I've been a bit more lax lately with a couple of different things - haven't gotten my steps in a couple of days here and there due to being too busy to get them all in, and have been a bit more lax with food as well.2 -

Nov 1, 2022 Now over my Normal BMI 9 pounds to lose to get back into it.
Since Nov 19, 2022 Back under Normal BMI!! so basically I was overweight for 3 months of 50 months. That’s a success for me.
Maintenance weight range: 150-159.9 “In the 150’s” This gives me about >5 lbs before I hit Overweight BMI.

Successes
**shaving a few grams of foods is
decreasing my calories without my noticing 🤣😂🤣
Healthy, normal kidney function

first time in 5-7 years!!!
Steps increased
** 3 meals only
Calories good - slow & steady
** NEW: Handling “meals out” & occasional desserts very well.
Increased water intake.
** Excellent CHOL, triglycerides, kidney, glucose etc labs in May 2023!
Struggles:
Some fatigue/ insomnia- both meds related
** Very busy/ stressful
Waiting to see HA1C next month or so
** Still Not back to 10K steps:
thigh pain, knee pain etc & I never have knee pain. Will ask Dr 6/2/23 who prescribed the statin if that could be the culprit. Feeling sorer & older. Working to find a
solution.
