Junk food addiction

Hey hope u all are well, I have a junk food addiction. Everything in my apartment is healthy. Fresh fruit, 100 % whole wheat, vegetable oil spray, low salt beans, Talapia , 93% fat free ground turkey, chicken thighs no bone no skin, low fat dairy, frozen vegetables without sauce , I put in microwave, no salt seasoning , cinnamon on oats. I have to work on increasing my water intake I do have a 64 oz of water jug. I walk about 20 minutes , five days a week. I have Dumbells in my room I do push-ups planks squats calf raises shoulder shrugs that I do each time when I exercise.

I don’t like sweets
My junk food is like Mcchicken and value fries, double cheese burger and value fry. Cheetos bag , Diet Coke, four for four at Wendy’s. Checkers two grilled hot dogs and small fry.

It used to be a whole take out pie at dominos, chineese buffet, Jamaican dinner combo, subway , McDonald’s big breakfast . Lil ceasers

After writing this and reading I’m thinking I’m restricting too much .moderation right

I never eat till I’m stuff and want to throw up that happened many years ago and I beat that

But I need help any tips ?

Also I tried to use a food scale with this app
But the numbers and weighing and measuring became obsessive and I would get upset and I would still be over my caloriez

This way you can also make chicken bites without buying glued together pieces of ground chicken stuff not suitable for anything else, with your own sauce that fits your calories. There's really nothing inherently wrong with eating so-called junk. Just make it your own. Maybe it it's so tasty that this is what you crave, and not a fastfood outlet.

I love the idea to make your own junk food. You can make little pizzas with countable calories at home. I love making slider burgers. On what you are cooking… can you add more flavor? Or a relatively low cal sauce like marinara? For chicken you could use canned coconut milk, curry paste and chicken broth to make a curry sauce. Those foods that you love are also salty. Don’t be afraid to season your home cooked food. They are also fast. What if you cook ahead of time so it’s ready to go when you need it?

It sounds like you like going to fast food restaurants.I think I’m addicted to the routine of going to a fast food restaurant. Probably more than I actually like the food. For the last 5 months I’ve been losing weight. I generally cook, but I still enjoy going through a drive- through. I just try to order healthier options, or I just make sure I log the more unhealthy foods that I eat that particular day. It seems to help me get back on track faster than if I just ignored it. It’s hard to cut it out of your life completely. Also, knowing I can have any food I want, makes me much more relaxed about the whole thing. I’m usually successful at least at staying within my calorie goal for the day. Sometimes, I’m not , but I get right back on track as soon as I can. Maybe you could plan ahead if there’s some fast food you really want. Work it into your eating plan for the day.

A buddy of mine was "addicted" to fast food, but what he really was addicted to was simply being around people in a social setting, outside of work or his apartment where he lived alone. Once he came to realize this, he was largely successful in breaking the habit by preparing food at home, then toting it somewhere he could eat in the company of others...a park, the mall food court, etc.

I eat fast food regularly, but it's in moderation. For instance if I eat McDonald's, I'll only have a quarterpounder with cheese and no fries. Or just nuggets by themselves. If I want fries, I'll have a small with just a plain hamburger. And of course I make sure I log them and ensure the rest of my day is within calorie goal.
Mind you I only go once a week there at most. It's not a day to day or every other day thing.

I'm going to ask you a rhetorical question that I hope you will consider. Are you sure you "beat that?" From what you're describing, it sounds like you're falling into a problematic relationship with food, just in a different way. I think you're on the right track when you say you're restricting too much. I hesitate when anyone with a history of disordered eating restricts themselves from a group of foods because they are "bad" or "junk". I would encourage you to challenge that thought process.
