💯 @quiltingjane @comandJarvis. Epley maneuver worked like a miracle for me several months ago. I was playing in the pool with my grandson and did a flip turn - - dizzy for days, literally could not get out of bed for one day then I researched the Epley maneuver and BINGO back to normal!

8/12 - 152.6 - Alright, I've got a bit of a drop and I'm happy. I'm still very sore in my legs so I know I'm holding on to water there. My tummy doesn't look so bloated now so I think the hormonal stuff is what dropped off now TOM is over. Whew. BF got mad about needing to replace another sprinkler head (this is the second time replacing this specific one) because of cows in our front yard. He went ahead and had the extra money to buy the wood and rent a post digger yesterday. Digger due back today so we are drinking coffee and then heading out to beat the worst of the heat to get the holes dug and posts set with concrete today so the concrete can set overnight. My pot pie went really well and tasted delicious last night. I have 2 slices leftover, one of which I'll surely have for lunch today. Maybe the other for tomorrow? Not sure on dinner as we only planned one dinner home this weekend - we assumed we'd go have dinner with Fam one night this weekend as we usually do. Now I'm unsure with the fence thing. We've got enough in the freezer to make something up, though, I'm sure.

Previous Day's Comments8/10 - TOM came out of nowhere unexpectedly and quick. I'm very hormone-puffy type bloated and crampy this morning. I'm also still sore from Monday and now yesterday's kettlebell strength workout so I imagine I'm holding on to water there, as well. I wonder if the stress of this week threw my body out of whack a bit. Likely so. I ate normally yesterday, hit right about my normal amount. Had 8 calories remaining according to MFP which is good. Today I have my meals planned out, including breakfast should I need to eat before lunch. BF is dealing with severe dizziness and we are waiting on a call back from the doc to see if he can get in. If it keeps on like this, I'm taking him to the ER. It's beginning to get scary (at first we thought it was a side effect from some medication he was taking for infection but it should've started wearing off after a week and his symptoms are only getting worse so we're trying to monitor things. He's the type of guy who will avoid the doctor unless he's dying so the fact that he reached out to get seen and is contemplating ER, it's bad... I know I'm being needy between Smoke and now BF, but I'm wondering if these things are connected and it is NOT a fun situation to watch from the sidelines. I'm hoping he can get seen/go to ER before I travel next week - my newest concern)
8/11 - Technically I did weigh, but in my zombie-brain last night, I left my phone on the couch overnight, didn't charge it, and it was too far away for my scale to sync and upload my weigh in. And I don't remember what it came up as. Oops! I do remember still seeing 153 pop up at some point while it was settling so I'm not dropping anything. I'm not entirely sure what is going on with this bloat. Usually any hormonal bloat will drop off as soon as TOM starts but I didn't even start bloating until it did. Hopefully it won't last too long and I can get back down before I travel. This is uncomfortable and confusing. Homemade, 100% from scratch chicken pot pie for dinner so I'm determined to eat my last serving of chickpea and veg curry for lunch as it's light and low calorie to make up for the extra large portion I'm undoubtedly going to serve myself of potpie tonight. I already completed my kettlebell strength and I'm about to go walk the pups. It's my day off so errands (post office, groceries) and baking!

This is going to be a difficult round for me- traveling all next week really screws me up. Out to eat, no scales, time change, eating at strange hours- Eeeeks! If I can just go sideways I will be happy. Good Luck and God bless you all this round.

RGW 119
8/10- 120.0 Starting with an excuse - never a good way to start- Bad news- had to eat late last night because had to have blood drawn after fasting and could not get appointment until 10:45... Good news decided to just go at 7:30 and see if they could fit in and they did- Yeah!! Last few days 119 so think if I can stay in 119 this round will be very please with myself. got the chance to play wonderful pickleball last night and burned a ton of calories, also did twenty minute PT workout, ouch.
8/11- 121.6 Love the rollercoaster emoji @Cchassee is using. I think it will perfectly capture my next 9 days or so. I have to believe this is bloating mostly. Went to PT yesterday, still sore he really worked my shoulders and was way over on sodium the day before last- seems to work that way for me- I bloat 2 days later. I have not even started traveling but the last 2 days have been so busy and wrecked havoc with my schedule. I did pass my Surplus Lines license test yesterday- Yeah. Playing in pickleball tournament tomorrow - I really should not be playing yet with my injury, playing down a level was kind of tricked into it...Hope you all have a nice weekend

I started my “wunning” program yesterday. Starting slowly with 3 minutes walking, 30 seconds running (ok, jogging), for 30 minutes. The short runs were easy, but did get my heart rate up, and I don’t want to overdo it and discourage myself. I went for another half-hour walk with the pup last night. I’m off in a few min for my morning “wun.” I have to say, though, that my weigh-ins are discouraging lately. Losing weight at 70 is no picnic!
8/11 - 185.2, 1417
Aww, come on. I did a 35 min interval “wun” yesterday and another dog walk in the evening, plus some gardening, and calories were controlled. I do think I’m retaining water—my legs are swollen after my wuns. I’m drinking tons of water and hoping for a whoosh soon.
8-12 - 185.2, 1237
Jeesh. So discouraging. Plus my knee hurts and I’m achy all over, I hate my hair, my skin looks blotchy and flaky, and I have nothing decent to wear that I can get into. (Just doing a grump dump!) I think I’ll skip the long walk this morning to let me knee recover, and go take out my hostilities by deadheading flowers. I hope your weekend is going better than that! 😊

Hey - congrats for working on losing weight though! I wish my mom would but, I don't know how she'd ever get on My fitness pal and actually DO it. Kuddos to you!
So, one question.... How did you lose weight in 2015=2016? What was the magic?
@SherryRueter Thanks. So, in Feb. 2015 I joined Weight Watchers and lost about 30 lbs and then hit a plateau that went on and on. The WW people had no solutions (at least not at that branch) so I made my own program. By then I was walking 4-6 miles almost every day. I did a bunch of research, and then 1) added healthy fats to my diet, 2) started swimming laps almost every day in a wonderful saltwater pool, 3) started running and ended up running several 5Ks, a 10K, and a half marathon. We moved in 2016 and I lost “my” pool, but kept up the walking. Moved again in 2018 and almost immediately I got sick (polymialgia rheumatica), which stopped me cold—I could barely walk, I ached so badly. I resisted conventional medicine, which was pushing prednisone, and saw a holistic M.D., who insisted my problem was in part food sensitivities and put me on a very low-cal elimination diet—900-1100 calories/day of a narrow selection of foods for 4 months. It made no difference in my pain, but my skin and gut did improve. When I went off that diet, I immediately started gaining…and gaining and gaining. Some I take responsibility for, but I firmly believe the low calories messed up my metabolism and I haven’t recovered from that. Im disgusted with myself for letting myself regain so much, but also angry about the doctor’s and dietitian’s lack of, I don’t know, awareness? and warning about the potential downside of severe restriction. Probably WAY more than you wanted to know! Im venting a bit.5 -

I’ve got to start getting further away from the 200’s again! Starting Weight on 7/4 is 195.4.

08/09 …..194.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
08/10 -195.2- (Trend weight 195.6)
08/11 - 193.8- (Trend weight 195.5) I was THRILLED to find myself back in the 193’s again. Still working my way toward the 180’s. It helps when I put the work in. I have already pre-logged my food for today which is mainly leftovers. I hope I can sneak some exercise in tonight after the dust settles. Today is the first day for handyman. He’s from another town and county so he will be here by 11:00 for the small loose-ends work. That will take at least 3 business days. I’m still praying for a good quote on the big jobs. I’m babysitting my DGS Owen today. He spent the night last night. He keeps me on my toes yet stops me from beginning any exercise routine with his constant needs. Nana, Oh Nana, Hey Nana etc. LOL. No way I can get on a bike or start a dance routine without having to constantly stop. However, sometimes I get him to do some strength training with me to teach him the importance of fitness. Rain expected by 2:00.
08/12 -192.6- (Trend weight 195.2) Handyman was very nice and seems like he’s going to work out. So far, so good. He also has resources for what he is not licensed or knowledgeable in. Happy camper here! Stuck to my guns on the diet front, got in a few minutes of strength training and got in 32 minutes of dancing. I pick very random songs that have the right “beat”. A bit slower for the warm-up and cool-down. A little more challenging ones in the middle of my set. One song I chose as a bit of a warm-up was “Cry to me” by Solomon Burke. It was one of the songs in the movie “Dirty Dancing”. Aw Come On, give it a try!

HIIT workout today. Heat index is 115°. I’m 💯 on my goals so if the scale doesn’t dip tomorrow I’m going to be FURIOUS! I know I’ll handle it eventually but I’ll be REALLY pissed off! I don’t know what more I can DO except maybe I’m not eating ENOUGH and my body is in starvation mode… The last three times I lost 15 pounds (Won’t let that happen again!) I didn’t stall this early in my journey…. was not an issue. So let’s see what happens. It’s that damn 🎢 roller coaster I’m trying to avoid! TBH, I shouldn’t even be thinking about the ⚖️scale. I should just be DOING the work!!!
🤸🏼🍽️🏋️♀️🚶♀️🏃♀️💦📓
Because I know, if I dropped 2 pounds on the ⚖️ tomorrow morn, I’m going to be ecstatic… I don’t want to be emotionally up ⬆️ or ⬇️ down. I just want to be on emotional 🛳️🛳️🛳️cruise control! EVEN.
↔️↔️↔️↔️↔️↔️↔️↔️↔️
(With the scale’s cooperation!)
NSV- I feel better! I feel invigorated… I can see a little bit of my collarbone!!! 😂 I feel good, and I’m taking care of myself… I just want some SCALE results NOW!!! Is that too much to ask?

Yesterday was a good day. I planned well… staying focused - keeping health and nutrition in perspective! No roller coaster!
I slept really well last night.
NSV: Water intake improves every day. It’s becoming a natural part of my day. IF (First meal at noon last food at 6 PM) Intermittent fasting is almost 2nd nature now… 👍🏻

Great day yesterday. Momentarily crushed by the scale yesterday. I decided to focus on the process and not the scale. I weighed in this morning to start this round… will weigh again in three days! Just trying to adjust to see what works for my psyche.
Asleep by 8:30 up by 4. Cant stay awake later…. I fell asleep, so easily and satisfied from the day, but just couldn’t sleep longer… Woke up waaayyyy too early this morn. Let’s see if I can stay up a little later tonight… Walked 4mi after dinner. No technology. Just me and my thoughts. Solid prayer time.
Stop the 🎢 roller coaster!

About Me:This is my fourth round and really appreciated having someplace to stay accountable.
Thanks to a medication I'm on for my mental health and an overeating habit, I managed to gain a lot of weight in the last year or so. On July 4, I stepped on the scale for the first time since I started the med (that is known to cause weight gain) and decided enough was enough. I buckled down and started actually recording my food for the first time in over five years and started walking every day. Now I need motivation to keep going. So far I've been doing great despite a lot of stress in my life. I had one "cheat" day on my son's 13th birthday because I made homemade pizza and enjoyed three slices of it. I have felt no need to "cheat" since then which makes me very happy. I keep telling myself I'll eat a bag of chips when I get to X weight, but that weight comes, and I feel no need to eat the chips and want to continue eating healthy to lose more weight. Amazing for a carb junkie.

RGW: 262
8/10 - 265.8 - 3.04 miles - I had planned to work in the yard laying more mulch and shoveling rocks, but as I got close to home after my walk, I started feeling really queasy. I'm not sure if it was the heat (it was only in the mid-70s) or something else, but I decided to just go inside and rest instead. This weekend is supposed to be super hot so I'm not sure how much I can get done. The plan is to get to bed early today so I get up early tomorrow and get out for my walk in the early morning so I'm working in the yard before the heat sets in. We'll see how that goes.
8/11 - 264.8 - 2.37 miles - Worked for an hour in the yard shoveling rocks again and finished laying mulch on that side of the yard (YAY!). Then went on an hour walk when it started getting really hot. Didn't feel very well after that but it passed eventually. Then I spent 2.5 hours making homemade pizzas for the family so today was a cheat day. Last one was July 14 when I made pizza for my son's birthday. It tasted so good. Wish I could have more but I came in under my goal (barely and that's just an estimate). I'll make it up in the next couple of days so it's not a big deal.
8/12 - 264.2 - 3.29 miles - Went over on my calories today because I just couldn't resist having pizza for breakfast this morning (what is even the point if you don't eat it cold the next morning?). But I'll make it up in the next couple days--it's not the end of the world. I didn't do any yard work either because of the heat. I did go on an extra long walk by exploring some culdesacs along the route that I don't usually go down. We are now under a severe heat advisory or warning (can't remember which). It's supposed to be nearly 100F tomorrow so I doubt I do much and will get out for my walk really early. Same with Monday and Tuesday. Then my grandson is back so not sure what I'll do. Feeling good despite the stumbling with the pizza (I just cannot resist pizza; it's my favorite food).

8/13- 120.6 Ooops! seem to somehow, somewhere skipped a day. Did not even know until realized to day is 8/13. Up early enjoying my coffee, need to be at the courts at 7:15 Went and watch my friends play yesterday.was joking around with one gentleman, the men have been more concerned with matching outfits then women. He was aghast.. but late last night, by mixed partner today called to coordinate our outfits. I love it. Going to say a prayer my shoulder lasts the tournament.

8/13 The emotional roller coaster prevails and is REAL. I’m so disappointed. I hate the scale. But I’ll keep on. Not quitting. I have stuck to the plan. Record every freaking morsel. Hit macros, hit calories…. Plan plan plan. Check off all boxes. Walk, exercise, close rings, journal, 💦💦💦. My only thought is that I’m not sleeping. I can’t sleep… Waking up at 3ish everyday. One good night in 2 weeks. I’ll think about it logically today. Or maybe I wont…. Maybe thinking too much. I wont give up.
Good luck to everyone. Pulling for you!

8/13 - DNW - I did weigh but apparently my phone and scale didn't sync when I thought it had so I have no idea. I had a very whiny puppy who needed outside so I wasn't as thorough as I normally am. Oh well. I was up and I know that. Expected. We finished building the entire fence yesterday. 8am until about 5pm outside in the Texas heat doing manual labor. All that's left is cut the tops of the posts flush and find/build a gate for the front walkway. Nobody uses it so we'll put something up temporarily to keep the cows out. Despite my water intake, I know I'm dehydrated. In addition, we had wings for dinner and for some reason, wings always make me bloat and hold on to water. I logged everything I remember putting in my body to the best of my knowledge on portion sizes and I was still under due to the work. I'm not worried. I do wish I could have an accurate reading before traveling, but that isn't likely to happen so I simply must be extra cautious the rest of this week instead. I have several days of posts to catch up on and hopefully today is quiet enough to do so.

8/12 - Alright, I've got a bit of a drop and I'm happy.

8/13 - 184.6, 1615
Good morning. I’m feeling slightly better, although I’m still achy and my knee feels swollen and tight. I think I need help with some of this so tomorrow I’m going to schedule a doctor visit. I’m due anyway for my annual checkup. I’ve lapsed on taking collagen, so am getting back with that routine—helps my hair and skin, which is very dry and itchy. I have a very strong urge to cozy up the house, but no idea what and how at the moment. Browsing images online. I also have a serious urge to do some decluttering, although we don’t actually have much superfluous stuff after all the moving around we did for a decade. Weird, huh? It’s as if I need to open up space for something new. I did toss out about 15 years of journals last week—I knew I would never reread them, and I don’t want anyone else reading them if/when I die, so out they went. It gave me pause, but I threw them in the recycle bin just as the truck turned onto our street, and poof! they were gone, and I felt good about it. Now to start a new one. So that’s me strange tale for today! I do think these things are all tied to stupid eating. Have a great Sunday!

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for over 6 years with amazing results!

8/10 129.0 Had 4 oz brisket and did my best to rinse off that sweet sauce but it was still there. I had a no sugar whisky sour at home.
8/11 128.5 Good day yesterday. Under on all macros except fat - 7 over on that but fat satisfies. Wanted evening snack - had 1T peanut butter - the brand I have is all natural and the oil separates. I scooped out some of the pb and let the oil drip back into the jar.
8/12 128.0 Leftover pot roast and ate a few chunks of white potato and slices of carrot.
8/13 129.0 Totally okay with this. We went out to eat at a nearby Mexican restaurant. I had chips and a chimichanga and I ate the whole thing. Today, Great Greek. I’m going to change my order and get chicken instead of beef! 😱😱😱5 -

08/11 - 193.8- (Trend weight 195.5)
08/13 -194.2- (Trend weight 195.1) Well I guess a year has gone by very quickly. I got a call from my childhood best friend that she is on her annual vacay back to Michigan to visit family and friends. I have (since growing up) moved about 3 ½ hours north so we are coordinating when she can come stay a night or two. She understands the renovations that have just begun and that I can’t leave. So….. the self-sabotage has begun. I did not eat well yesterday but I did make sure that I offset my stupidity with some HIIT in my workout. Why can’t I just be good to myself? My trend weight still went down a bit so I’m hoping the upward change is just water retention. We’ll see.

65 yr young F, 5ft 4 Round 231 (my 162nd). Thank you @quiltingjaine for the new round.
Goal this round is to get back under and stay under 138. Holiday is now in 31 days, I still need to crack on & lose a few more pounds, starting to get back into some holiday clothes, but can't let up: time is running out! So, 31 days, 3 rounds at a pound per round should easily get me to where I want to be, only I can do it, I’ve done it before so I can do it again if I knuckle down!! Really try to stay on track & do another complete round without binging. After all I am what I eat in more ways than one, my whole demeanour is totally different when I am happy with myself!!Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

8/9. 138.2 - 138.2, 11.54 miles walked, 165 floors, a third of exercise calories eaten back. Into Matlock, climbed up to and along the top of the gorge, down into Matlock Bath, had a coffee & then climbed up to the top and along the top of the other side before the return walk back. 1.6 pound down from end of last round, & no binge in
whole of the 10 days, very happy with this 👏.
SW Round 232 138.8
8/10 138.8 - 13.92 miles walked, we went in the opposite direction to Chatsworth Estate, up behind the house, along the ridge & back down through the woods, a third of exercise calories eaten back.
8/11 139 - had 2 little DGDs yesterday for the day, youngest is getting over chicken pox so restricted where we could take them; picked raspberries then took a picnic up into the Darbyshire Dales, managed a very slow 4 miles in total, ate more than exercise calories.
8/12 138.8 - moved caravan over to Retford in Notts, a beautiful little site on the banks of a stream and every pitch has a staging over the stream with a picnic table in it. Managed 5.26 mile walk around village, 100 calories over.
8/13 139.2 – spent the day at Bolsover Castle, it has the oldest indoor riding school still open and in use in the UK; we had tickets to see a manège display on how William Cavendish used to train his horses before he went into battle in the mid 1600’s, so fascinating, we then went on a guided tour of the outside of the castle before wandering around the inside ourselves, just manage to rack up 3.87 miles, but they were not at a good pace, just a bimble! Just read my post from yesterday – spellchecker changed a few of the words, looks like I was drunk when I wrote it!!

8/10 - 185, 1346
