and I connect them all to MFP via the iPhone Health app.
Storing/owning user health data is where the money is. Apple Health is where Apple stores and controls all our health data. Other apps like MFP, scale companies, Strava, Garmin, etc, used to own and control their users health data and still do a little bit.

The trend is for an iPhone user to be able to see, access, and play around with the info on their iPhones. Apple built Apple Health and told all other app makers to follow their APIs, their techniques, their requirements, or get left behind.

It is nice to have my old iPhone and have all my information there, so convenient. The good old days of looking at MFP data, on the MFP website, from a desktop computer... are heading the way of copper wire landlines in our homes. Health Connect is Alphabet's version of this.

Syncing steps and weight and exercises has always been great, and quite often broken, and a solution is to let Apple handle all the data ... thus the problem, holding data is where the money is and MFP needs a business model to keep fixing their app/webpage.
