Nov 1: 171 - ๐ฃ ๐ ๐ฅ 17K Steps Not off to a good start - but it's temporary!
Nov 2: DNW - ๐ 4K Steps Tough day for eating and exercise yesterday. It was our monthly visit to my husband's 91 year old cousin who lives about 2 hours away. Leave at 5:30 AM - have breakfast and lunch with her (not good choices) and then a long drive back home later in the afternoon. We got back home at 6:00. Lovely visit, but it makes for a long day and I am exhausted when I get home. I hit the left over Halloween candy for dinner, no exercise at all, couldn't sleep (probably too much sugar). It's just a temporary situation (didn't I say that yesterday?)! Will get back to it today!
Nov 3: 170.4 ๐ฃ ๐๐ฅ 23K Steps Good day yesterday; everything on track and on my way back. As a reward for making my 2,023 goal hubby said to get the new Garmin Fitness tracker that I have been eyeing. It came a couple of days ago and I've been trying to figure it out; wearing both the Fitbit and Garmin. Today will switch to totally Garmin. Hubby is getting the Fitbit.
Nov 4: 170.2 ๐ฃ๐๐ฅ 20K Steps A slow creep in the right direction. Girls day at the casino today - my sisters and aunt are going. Wish me luck! I should still be ok. I'm eating my breakfast before I go, will bring a protein bar and fruit for my lunch and will be home for dinner. And I won't be drinking (I have to drive home).

11/24-183.2-(Trend Weight 182.2)- Even though my big sha-bang family dinner isnโt until tomorrow, I still overate Thanksgiving food with a huge plate brought to me by my daughter from her in-law celebrations. I feel like Iโm already back to square one. This will take a lot of work to get back off! Today I clean, food prep and bake for tomorrowโs big Thanksgiving dinner. Iโm looking forward to some traditional holiday foods and desserts, but not for the overall damage to my plan. Iโll have to send away as many leftovers as I can get them to take.

But up to 245 today, after all the food of Thanksgiving. And a bit of constipation (it happens)
But been 241 for a week so I'm 3# away from my goal for this month. I'll have to accept whatever happens and do better next month4 -
Hi All, I am a busy mother of five slowly working my way to my goal weight. During September I entered my "Normal" BMI category and am now about 10 pounds from my ultimate goal. This will be my 3rd month in this challenge. I had never weighed myself daily before this challenge, and I am finding it to be so helpful and informative to weigh and check in daily.
My goal for November is to NOT GET DERAILED BY THANKSGIVING. ๐ฆ ๐ฅง ๐ Let me tell you, I can really get derailed by a holiday. I may or may not log on Thanksgiving or the day after, and that's OK. But my Thanksgiving goal is to log daily from Saturday the 25th through the end of the month.
Starting weight September 1: 141.0 lbs
Starting weight November 1: 132.8 lbs
Goal for November: 130.4 lbs Considering Thanksgiving, I'm setting my goal a tad on the conservative side.

November 3: 131.4 I logged ๐ Very happy with today's weight. Over the past week there have been several days that I ate at maintenance, and a couple days I ate well over maintenance. It was hard to tell if I was needlessly eating more, or if I really needed the additional calories. I've already got my activity level set to almost the highest one, and I haven't even gone running or done any exercise for over a week. I guess I walk constantly around the house, dealing with the children and doing housework, always on my feet, and I frequently have to do up and down the stairs to deal with something or put something away, so maybe that burns a lot sometimes. For a while there I thought I was "failing" because I could not hit my calorie goal.

November 16: 131.2 I logged ๐ There's that familiar number again, lol. Time break through it again, especially these days before Thanksgiving. By the way, for the first time we have a pasture raised grassfed turkey this year for Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to it.

November 18: 129.4 My scale is doing funny things. I'm not sure how accurate it is. At first it said 131.8 which is possible but unlikely (if the other readings this month were correct). So I got on again and it said 129.4 twice, so I'll go with that. But then I got on again about 30 minutes later and it said 127.0. That's highly unlikely also. Wondering if my scale is just not very good anymore.
November 19: 128.2 ??? Again, I have a hard time believing this is correct. I might fiddle around with my scale, look into calibration like ManifestingToday suggested, or replace the batteries. First it said 126.6! No way. Then it said 127.0. Then it said 128.2 three times. My guess would be that 130-131 is more accurate. But I don't know. Another note-- yesterday was full of surprises. The day did NOT go as planned. Calorie counting and all cares for weight loss ended up out the window. Ended up going to a restaurant and just eating a lot. So I expected to see a weight gain, if not from extra calories then at least water retention. I'm wondering if I did have a gain but my scale is off and not reflecting it. Or I could actually have had a loss like it says. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Well, I will just keep on with the usual logging, stick to my plans, and hopefully figure out what's up with my scale.
November 20: 131.6 I logged ๐ I am not super happy with my scale right now. Yesterday after I posted here, I turned it over and did not find any recalibration ability, but there is a button to change to kg. So I pushed it a couple times and set it back on pounds. Put it back down again, hopped back on and it said 131.4 I think. I think today's reading is probably pretty accurate..... It's a little disappointing to figure out that the scale has a 5-pound inaccuracy window. How am I supposed to know what's going on? I'll just keep logging and trying, and I'll keep getting on the thing every day and try not to worry too much about it. Let me know if any of you have any thoughts or advice on this.

November 23: 127.8 Happy Thanksgiving! Here are my goals from now to the end of the month: 1) Enjoy Thanksgiving today and don't worry about calories. No logging. 2) Don't worry about calories tomorrow either. Logging optional. 3) From Saturday through Nov. 30, my goal is to log daily and check in here daily. 4) If my calories are over for a while, to get back to my calorie goal by Nov. 30.

Hi all:
My name is Lori. I am 51 years old. I am 5'2 and SW is 180. Mom from Texas. Prior to 2019 , I had lots of motivation to exercise. I think due to stress and job changes I slowed down on my health journey. I am noticing that as I am aging, I have more aches and pains. Issues with Autoimmune . (sjogren's syndrome, Lichen sclerosis, and asthma. Lack of motivation , and trouble with sleep. I am hoping for help in most of these areas with tips for food choices and exercises.

Hi, I'm a 50+ yo married female, 5'6", and tired of looking and feeling like I do. Iโm making changes to get out of the Obese category, to look good in my clothing, and to have confidence in public again.

Nov 11: 204.7 -- I biked for 15 min, and danced for 40 minutes at 120 bpm, which I think I want to continue with. It was good movement and it was fun.

Nov 15: 205.4 -- I slept about 4 hours last night, and had sleepy tea at 3am. Both those things spiked the number, because I ate pretty healthy yesterday. Not stressing it.
Nov 16: 205.9 - Only 4 hours sleep. I'm dealing with stomach issues and it has been keeping me up at night. It also requires food at odd hours, which I'm not happy about. I'm angry the scale number is going up too.

Nov 18: 205.4 -- It's amazing what not working out does with the scale. I'll be back to it today; I just got too busy yesterday. I did vacuum and clean for an hour, so I did get some bending/stretching. But apparently not enough to counteract those graham crackers last night...

Nov 20: 205.6 -- This week will be a tough one, as in addition to Thanksgiving, my husband and I both have birthdays. We're both watching our weight, but we both agree you're allowed to have cake on your birthday -- if not then, when? So there has been, and will be, cake. But I'm also making sure I get my bike and dance workouts in there too, to minimize the damage.

Nov 22: 206.7 The birthday cake has caught up with me (2nd round tomorrow with my husband). I know the next couple of days will be calorie dense. Today I'll work to have lower cal foods, hopefully offsetting tomorrow. Lots of water and sleep tonight too! I can do this!
