Round 241
November 8 - 17, 2023
Please join us starting on 11/8 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 241.
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
If you feel your post is too lengthy, you can add spoilers to temporarily hide the information. It is readily available by tapping the SPOILER bar. To create a Spoiler just type or copy [ Spoiler ] xxx [ /Spoiler ] Omit the spaces within the brackets and put your information where I have xxx

My participation was not great in round 240, but I plan to be here in 241. Thank you @quiltingjaine3

Thank you @quiltingjaine
I’m traveling to the beautiful UK the last part of this round but will join in for consistency as I can - internet is spotty at the National trust location I’m staying at and no scale. Bringing resistance bands and walking shoes.3 -
Yes please @quiltingjaine, another round for me, 7 weeks to Christmas Day, 7 weeks to make a difference before then.5

Which part of the UK are you travelling to? I volunteer for the National Trust in the Midlands, but I know some of the more rural properties/land where reception is dodgy.2 -

I'm 30F and committed to wondering less about the scale and wondering instead about how great it's going to be when my daily healthy practices are so normal that it would be weird not to do them, even on vacations or holidays. It has been nice so far.
My original goal pants are within reach and I hope to be able to post a picture of a before and after with them this round or next.
My strategy has been: All home cooked foods and no added fats or sugar or alcohol. Potatoes and legumes make up most of my caloric base. More vegetables and less meat. Logging 1500-1800 calories a day with Saturday and/or Sunday as refeed day(s) where I have maximum 2500 calories if I'm feeling like I need it. ST as much as I can and walking as much as I can.

I'm here for my 3rd round. I was out of town for a little less than half of the last, which makes food and exercise trickier. I didn't undo all my progress from my first round, though, so I'm happy about that.
I'm 51 years old. I have a dance performance and a cruise coming up in December and a wedding the beginning of January and would really like to lose 10 pounds before then. I'm hoping 4 rounds of Just Give Me Ten will help motivate me and help me reach my goal.

About Me:This is my thirteenth round and really appreciate having someplace to stay accountable.
Thanks to a medication I'm on for my mental health and an overeating habit, I managed to gain a lot of weight in the last year or so. On July 4, I stepped on the scale for the first time since I started the med (that is known to cause weight gain) and decided enough was enough. I buckled down and started actually recording my food for the first time in over five years and started walking every day. Now I need motivation to keep going. I'm a mom of five and grandma of one 4yo that I babysit during the week when my daughter is working. We live in the Pacific Northwest where we're entering the rainy season which makes walking a lot harder, and it's my main form of exercise right now. I do have access to gym equipment at our HOA clubhouse, but I still have to walk there and back (takes about 9 minutes).
