December 8: 261.0 Not much progress. Had a birthday but didn't get crazy. averaging 8600 steps a day. Next week I will be traveling ughhhh. The fight is real.
December 15: 260.0 I was pleasantly surprised when I returned from my trip having had less control on some of my eating options; I actually lost a pound. I will take that anytime I can get it. Maybe next week I will get back in the fifties club. I'm sure the sixties club people will be happy to see me go because I have been there a longggggggggg time.

Hi All,
I have been struggling sooo bad since the 1st of December. This past week has been brutal ! This past week has been my baking week for church refreshments & family chocolate cream pie ( twice ), I tried a new recipe mixing cool whip into it and the pie didn't set. It was chocolate soup, so I had to make it again....Oh, and whoopie pies. Ever since we were wee little ones, when our parents told use we could
come out of our bedrooms, we got to open one present before breakfast. we would go directly to the tree and find the present left for each of us by Mrs. Claus. That present had whoopie pies in it. that's the only time of the year we got to eat Whoopi pies for breakfast. We are all in our 60s now and we still hold to that tradition ( diet or no diet ).

Total loss for December: Up 0.4 pounds for the week. Down 3.8 for the month though, so that's good, especially for these darkest of days. One more week and we'll see how I did overall for the year.

Month 3 now of setting challenges for myself. November was not as successful as Iβd liked but still successful. I credit this group for making me accountable.
Great way to keep focus throughout the holidays.

12/3: 173.8, trend 173.7, have had a little stress the last couple of days. Over now. Caused a little bad eating. Just a hiccup. The big news is, just for right now, I am completely pain free for the first time since May 2022. Fingers crossed π€ I will see much more pain free time in the future!

12/17-178.6-(Trend Weight: 179.6)- Well, I was doing a little better earlier in the week but Iβm starting to slide down that slippery holiday slope. I am still down 1 full pound from last week but I will not make goal if I donβt start getting some control. The hard part of the month is yet to come! I will say, however, that I was finally able to feel comfortable enough in the 170βs to cross off the 180βs on my colorful chart below. My BMI also went from obese to overweight and that was a very long and arduous fight! Iβm proud of what Iβve been able to do in 2023, especially in the second half. Oh, but the road ahead is still a very long and bumpy one. Still so far to go!
12/24-178.4-(Trend Weight: 179.4)- Itβs been a rough week when it really should not have been food-wise. Our family dinner is not until the 30th and I havenβt even started baking yet, so really there is no excuse. I am down a smidge from last week so I guess I shall be grateful. Itβs just a tough time of year and I shouldnβt be using the Season as an excuse for bad habits and behaviors. If Iβm going to do that, it should at least be during our family feast! My next weigh-in will be the morning after the feast which will not end the week (or the year) well. But it will only be a temporary inflated weight with sodium retention etc. so I may wait an extra day and come back and weigh on the 1st instead for the year end tally. Merry Christmas to you all.

Looks like the zigzag between 156-158 lbs has ended in favor of the lower numbers :-). I updated my goal weight to 145 lbs due to still being at a body fat percentage thatβs considered unhealthy based on any recommendation I have encountered.8 -
