Hello I'm Darlene and have been with this group for a while now. Retired, 63-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I have been on this weight loss journey since January 2023. 💖I wouldn't be where I am today without this group (along with a couple other challenges I am in); I am so thankful for their support and accountability. 💖

Really cute shops, great restaurants. They decorte the city for Christmas. We go and see the lights, do some shopping and our annual "Taste of Newport". We usually go to 5 different restaurants (Lunch, Appetizer, Dinner, Dessert and BF the following morning), and plenty of drinks with that. This will be the first year that I'm going since I started this weight loss journey. I am going to enjoy myself, but also going to try to curb that this year. We are thinking - just small plates for each and and/or sharing. I won't be weighing tomorrow, but will be back Monday AM to catch up.

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 63 years old and from the Michigan USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

12/01-181.4-(Trend Weight 181.9)- Hoping to Work it back down. I was hoping for more progress but it always seems to go on much quicker than it comes off. That seems to be the opposite of gravity, doesn’t it? Humph…..
12/02-181.4-(Trend Weight 181.9)- Today is the birthday party for my DGS Owen that I babysit. He is turning 6. Party will be about an hour away at a bowling alley for some bumper bowling for the kids. I was hoping the scale would be down today (for a buffer) but I know I didn’t eat the healthiest yesterday so it’s my own fault. Today will be filled with snacks, food and cake. I’ll try to have some control by eating a small meal before I leave.

Hi all. Well at least I’m staying in 112 range. Starting to feel a little better at least. It’s hard sometimes with Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue AND hidradenitis suppurtiva.
It’s all about having a healthy lifestyle- smoothies full of berries, greens, grain. Protein and vegetables for dinner. Reduce snacking - healthy snack options. I like protein bars or puddings.
I have a weight station, treadmill barbell and dumbbells and often sit and use my dumbells or squats and calf raises. Aiming to do 4 days exercise next week and every week but this week has been a bad health week so I was forced to take it easy and sleep lots.
Still dreading spending 3 days with my mum for Christmas- I love her so much but she’s making caramel tarts, pineapple tarts, giving me chocolates, not to mention the dip , chips, and various nibbles. I desperately want to not gain back the 2kg I’ve lost! Considering it takes me a month to lose it and can be undone in a day.

New two challenges, can someone someone tell me if I have to do something specific to join this challenge?
There's nothing you have to do to join this challenge - You can just jump in with a post like the ones above. Each day, you'll copy your previous post, paste that into a new post, adding your current weight for the new day. Some folks don't post daily -- that's ok too. Welcome to the group!3 -

Hi, just jumping in here, I hope it's OK to join in even though we're three days into December. I live in New Zealand so lucky enough to be at the start of summer which means loads of fresh produce and long hours of daylight right now. I'm at my heaviest ever weight of 97kg - I know December isn't always the easiest month to reduce that number, but I'm going to aim to be 95kg or less to kick off 2024.
I'm a regular gym goer, so it's the food I need to work on.7 -
Hello, I'm a busy mom and this is my 4th month with this group. I am slowly working my way to my goal weight.

I’m a grandma of 8 from Ontario. I’ve been trying this challenge for awhile now. The last couple of months have been hard, however, I won’t give up.
My goal this month is pretty simple, to weigh myself everyday and to count calories. If I get some exercise it will be a bonus.
Starting weight in March 2023: 230 lbs.
Goal weight: 120 lbs.
Height: 5’2”
Total loss: 44.5 lbs.
End of Sept. weight: 187.8 lbs.
End of October weight: 188
End of Nov. weight: 186
Monthly Weight Loss:
March-10 lbs. (2023)
April- 8 lbs.
May- 5 lbs.
June- 4.4 lbs. (trip to Europe)
July- 5.6
August-7 lbs. joined a ‘challenge’
September- 2.6 lbs. ( sick)
October- (gained) .2 lbs.
November- loss 1.2 lbs.
December-
Dec. 1- 185.6 lbs. I was happily surprised that I lost weight in November, even a small loss. I basically kind of took a break from most exercise activities, stopped logging in my food diary, and ate unhealthy, fast food fairly often. It was a stressful time for me with family. I didn’t really make myself a priority which I know is important to do sometimes. I must learn to deal better with stress. I can feel my body missing the exercise.
Dec. 2- 185.6 lbs. went for an early swim

Get back down to under 200 pounds
Starting weight January 1st: 224.5
January weight lost: 7.7 pounds

June weight lost: 1.6 pounds
July weight lost: 1.3 pounds
August weight lost: up 1 pound
September weight loss: 1.8 pounds
October weight loss: up 3.1 pounds
November weight loss: up .6 pounds
🎄December:
1: 203.4– Time to get all gears going. I’ve been really good getting on the scale everyday, but I have a hard time with consistent logging.
I’ve noticed that it’s easier on the computer than the phone, so my goal for December is to log every day.
2: 203.5– logged for breakfast… it’s the very beginning of getting back into logging, so I’ll take that as a win. Baby steps.
3: 201.6 not sure what happened… but I’ll take it. I weigh myself 4x then take the average… so we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

I ate a turkey sandwich on low carb bread later when I got hungry. Baby steps. On another note, I found out my older friend (78) fell during her family Christmas party and was rushed to the hospital yesterday. After a transport to a 2nd hospital with surgeons, she will have to have surgery. I will find out more later. Let’s get healthy and stay healthy, my friends. Our bodies are going to need us!
