I tried a mix of the baked oatmeal fad and this girl’s trick for losing 60kg. Her “trick” is to sneak in veggies and certain fruits to meals because they have low calorie high density (and of course, high nutrition). I modified hers a bit (she used zucchini but I didn’t have that on hand), I threw shredded carrots and unsweetened applesauce into a pot and let cook for a minute, then blended that with oats, vanilla, and cinnamon powder. I spread it in a bread pan and sprinkled walnuts and more cinnamon on top, then baked it for about 15 mins.
Then I threw a half cup of blueberries over what I’d scooped in my bowl, along with some unsweetened almond milk and more cinnamon. I couldn’t get through what I had, it was so filling. I even entered my portion as 1/3 of the whole dish, and it only came to TWO HUNDRED AND SOMETHING CALORIES! I thought I did the math wrong, I checked it over and over. I even googled different stuff in it to double check calories.
And I was full till 2! I went to bed tonight with an excess of 300 calories that I didn’t know what to do with. She was right! This chick was right! Use vegetables and berries as fillers, guys! It’s the secret code!
Oh, and I even ate semi unhealthy at my in laws (because you just can’t escape it when you’re there), and still crushed it today because of breakfast. Wow.

I have no idea who this girl is but overall veg, and to a lesser extend fruit are fairly low calorie. Both carbs and protein have 4 cal per 100gr but the fruit and veg consist of lots of water and hence 100gr of watermelon has a lot less calories than 100gr of chicken breast. Great for volume eaters.

See how full you feel. Some people need lots of protein to fill full, others lots of fat (9 cal per gram). And then there’s us carb lovers 🥰
