More protein?

I am struggling to add enough protein while staying within my fat / carb allotments. Any insight or suggestions?

In addition, review your food log and notice things that have quite a few calories, but not much protein (or whatever nutrient you're trying to increase). Consider whether you can reduce or eliminate those foods, and put some other food with more protein into your regular eating habits.

For sure, try to get at least one major protein source in each meal.

In addition to that, choose bread with more protein, grains with more protein, high-protein pastas (if you eat those things), snacks with protein, veggies that have more protein . . . even a few fruits have some protein. Those typically aren't the highest-quality protein sources (in essential amino acid balance or bioavailability), but if you vary the sources and include them in your routine eating habits, it can add up over the course of a day and make a contribution.
