Nutritional information corrected, but no change

Right then, I've noticed over the past months that when I correct the nutritional information, it goes uncorrected.

Example: A few weeks ago I had packaged Salmon and scanned the bar code. The info returned on my mobile and while the name was the same, the nutritional facts were off. I submitted corrections. Sad it doesn't change immediately, but it is what it is.

I scanned the Salmon again this morning and the data still has yet to be corrected.

Do I need the super secret handshake to have done? It's often that I scan a package, incorrect data, submit changes and nothing is changed.

Thoughts?

Cheers!

I don't think it ever does anything, unfortunately. I've learned to save corrected foods to My Foods. Once it's there, use the regular search to find it in your saved foods, barcode scanning will bring up the old version.

I haven't been able to "correct" items with a green check.

Other items appear in "My Foods" after I correct them, not in the general database. If you have something as a recent or frequent food, it may still show up incorrect, so be sure to look specifically in "My Foods" for those you have corrected.

Package nutrition labels change all the time.

That’s why you’ll see so many with “corrected” in the titles.

My favorite chicken sausages went from 80 to 120 for a couple of years, and are back down to 80 again.

My low carb tortillas I eat almost every day went from 45 to 60. No telling how many weeks before I caught that. 😡

Personally, I’ve found bar code scanning to be almost useless, but otoh, today’s NSV is, I guess I’m eating more whole foods because I seldom handle any packaging that has bar coding.

    I’ll take it!

In addition to the comments above, don't forget that MFP is used all over the world and what appears to be the exact same product may have a different "recipe" in another country.
If you think you may use the product again just save to "my foods" and search for it there. I do that all the time (I'm in the UK).
