Round 251
February 16 - 25, 2024
Please join us starting on 2/16 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 251.
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
If you feel your post is too lengthy, you can add spoilers to temporarily hide the information. It is readily available by tapping the SPOILER bar. To create a Spoiler just type or copy [ Spoiler ] xxx [ /Spoiler ] Omit the spaces within the brackets and put your information where I have xxx

My name Krystal by the way! 39 getting ready for 40 this year. Striving to be the best I can be physically and mentallySW: 177
This is what I wrote out at the beginning of Round 250:
~ My plan for round 250 is to eliminate drinking alcohol on a nightly basis.
~ Try to get more into old school Keto, and for one meal a day I’ll allow myself to have a Keto processed food item. ie. Keto hot dog buns, keto slimfast snacks, I’ll pick one meal to eat these items.
These adjustments HAVE helped with our food/beverage budget so I will be continuing on with this plan*Stayed Below SW 177🟩=Yes 🟥=No

~ I broke through a bunch of mental blocks and had a bunch of “a-HAA!!” moments this round. I started competing on Stride kick again (PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN ME)
~ I remembered that I never felt better than when I was losing weight on the original Keto plan so I went back to basics. This realization prompted me to stop using all substances as a crutch. So I’m feeling very empowered and excited for this next round!

It's been a while since I've been here, but decided to focus on weight loss again and this has always been a helpful tool for me. Lost 30 pounds last spring. then gained a few of those back. Have kept up my daily walks, but need to concentrate on nutrition.

I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.5 -

@quiltingjaine Please share more info on your current 500 cal plan… What are your macros? Still Keto? How do u feel?
@CamandJarvis Will you continue your pattern of rotating daily low-carb/ higher carb consumption? How did you choose carb levels? I know you’re in the process of training, but I’m curious to the benefits… Thank you!1 -
@Cchassee I bought a product that a friend is using. A 500 calorie shake made with HWC. 3 a day gives you correct nutritional requirements but I can’t imagine drinking 3. They are delicious but very filling/satisfying, probably due to the HWC. I’m having 1 a day and not eating regular food. I needed something to keep me from looking in the fridge all the time. (Exception yesterday) I had half of my dish from Genghis Grill and about 1/3 of my shake.
Are you familiar with Dr. Ken Berry, MD? He endorses the product.
I feel great! My current macros are what I set on Senza after using the app to figure them (C 10, P 46, F 90) and the calculator by
Maria Emmerich which said (C 10, P 92, F 71)
Mine are (C 20, P 46, F 77)
Yes, still Keto. I wanted something more yesterday evening so I scrambled an egg in 2T of butter. Yes that’s a lot of butter but tasted so good and stuck with me all night. My numbers for yesterday
Cal 649 C 9, P 54, F 48
I started this because I found I was unable or unwilling to do a strict fast but needed to break the “always looking for something to put in my mouth” syndrome!1 -
Thank you @quiltingjaine for another round!
I'm 51 years old and this my 8th round. My goal is to lose 13 pounds, or 1 pound per 10 days, by the end of May. That would put me at or below 168 at the end of May. I'll see how I'm feeling and reassess then.
I've hit 178.8 a couple of times in these challenges and I'm excited to break through that barrier this round.

Random stuff about me:I am 59 years old this month (ouch). I currently live in Texas with my hubby and crew of kitty babies. I am a neonatal nurse practitioner and work 24hour shifts in a busy NICU. If it looks like I disappear on random days…that’s why! About 10 years ago I lost 135 pounds. Never made it to goal but just sort of leveled off at ~200 pounds. Over time I gained back nearly 50. Working on getting back at least to my low weight of 200. I would like to eventually make it to 150 where I think I would be comfortable.Previous rounds:SW RND 250: 244.5

I started this because I found I was unable or unwilling to do a strict fast but needed to break the “always looking for something to put in my mouth” syndrome!
Yes yes and YES to the above. I follow Berry and Emmerich is how I calculated my current Macros….. THANK YOU! Brilliant minds think alike! 😎💪🏻😍🤣
Find what works for you is my mantra. Love reading & integrating info… Feeling #bestshapeofmylife

Stride kick allows people to set up activity challenges with others.. no matter what type of activity watch they have. I found it one day when trying to figure out how I (a Fitbit user at the time) could compete with my friend (an Apple Watch user)
Fitbit decided to eliminate challenges after Google bought them out so I eventually switched to Applewatch and stayed with Stridekick
I created a Weekend Warrior Challenge for all here who would like to join along :-)

For 20 rounds now, I’ve viewed this time as “becoming” vs “being” I’m basically at my destination- so now what? I thought “maintenance” was about just maintaining weight but it’s actually LIVING a new daily life … I want this WOE to be who I am at my core. And, how do I live each day with everything in my life supporting that choice…. It’s pretty simple… If it doesn’t fit, get rid of it… And start something new… And LOVING IT!!

The yo-yo is exhausting & unhealthy. Takes up way too much brain space.
I learned MY choices created an emotional 🎢 roller coaster with yo-yo weight and fitness. My forever goal is to be healthy & fit & maintain approx. 130lbs & IN SHAPE.
As I age it becomes much, MUCH more difficult to lose weight. I could lose 15lbs easy in 8 weeks up to 2022 ish … This is absolutely not true anymore.
While active with 🚶♀️& 🎾 it’s clear a ST routine was absent. Strength & balance are most important now. Time to incorporate ST 🏋️♀️ 🙆♀️🤸🏼as my TRUE focus.

2/16: up .8 lb in one fell swoop after a day with no exercise and birthday dinner at my daughter's for my grandson. Ugh. First gain since Jan including a vacation and I knew it was coming, but no way to avoid it. Entire last round wiped out by food I didn't want. Oh, well. I have to be able to do these things without regret- my grandson was very happy with his celebration, and that's what matters.
Back to the plan and let it go.
The good news is I knew it would be bad and got on the scale- and logged it here.9 -

Its just hitting me its been 50 days already!! Reflecting on what I want this round, I realize I've eased up a bit these past two weeks. No regret, just acknowledging. And while I've had some great NSVs, slowing down is why I haven't reached Onederland yet. 🤪 Getting there by the 29th is now my primary objective!! I realize things internally are still recalibrating and resisting ~ so not stressing out about it, and won't feel bad if it doesn't happen on my timeline ~ but with all this blank space in front of me ... totally doable!!! 💪🏾 I believe fiftfam, lol ~ let's all smash our goals this month.
