Round 251
February 16 - 25, 2024

Please join us starting on 2/16 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 251.

Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.

Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.

Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!

Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.

FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

If you feel your post is too lengthy, you can add spoilers to temporarily hide the information. It is readily available by tapping the SPOILER bar. To create a Spoiler just type or copy [ Spoiler ] xxx [ /Spoiler ] Omit the spaces within the brackets and put your information where I have xxx

My name Krystal by the way! 39 getting ready for 40 this year. Striving to be the best I can be physically and mentally
    SW: 177
This is what I wrote out at the beginning of Round 250:
~ My plan for round 250 is to eliminate drinking alcohol on a nightly basis.
~ Try to get more into old school Keto, and for one meal a day I’ll allow myself to have a Keto processed food item. ie. Keto hot dog buns, keto slimfast snacks, I’ll pick one meal to eat these items.
These adjustments HAVE helped with our food/beverage budget so I will be continuing on with this plan*

~ I’m really proud of myself for achieving the mini-goal I set of weighing less than 177 lbs.
~ I broke through a bunch of mental blocks and had a bunch of “a-HAA!!” moments this round. I started competing on Stride kick again
(PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN ME)
~ I remembered that I never felt better than when I was losing weight on the original Keto plan so I went back to basics. This realization prompted me to stop using all substances as a crutch. So I’m feeling very empowered and excited for this next round!

It's been a while since I've been here, but decided to focus on weight loss again and this has always been a helpful tool for me. Lost 30 pounds last spring. then gained a few of those back. Have kept up my daily walks, but need to concentrate on nutrition.

@quiltingjaine Please share more info on your current 500 cal plan… What are your macros? Still Keto? How do u feel?

@CamandJarvis Will you continue your pattern of rotating daily low-carb/ higher carb consumption? How did you choose carb levels? I know you’re in the process of training, but I’m curious to the benefits… Thank you!

@Cchassee I bought a product that a friend is using. A 500 calorie shake made with HWC. 3 a day gives you correct nutritional requirements but I can’t imagine drinking 3. They are delicious but very filling/satisfying, probably due to the HWC. I’m having 1 a day and not eating regular food. I needed something to keep me from looking in the fridge all the time. (Exception yesterday) I had half of my dish from Genghis Grill and about 1/3 of my shake.

Are you familiar with Dr. Ken Berry, MD? He endorses the product.

I feel great! My current macros are what I set on Senza after using the app to figure them (C 10, P 46, F 90) and the calculator by
    Maria Emmerich which said (C 10, P 92, F 71)
    Mine are (C 20, P 46, F 77)

Yes, still Keto. I wanted something more yesterday evening so I scrambled an egg in 2T of butter. Yes that’s a lot of butter but tasted so good and stuck with me all night. My numbers for yesterday
    Cal 649 C 9, P 54, F 48

I started this because I found I was unable or unwilling to do a strict fast but needed to break the “always looking for something to put in my mouth” syndrome!

    Random stuff about me:
I am 59 years old this month (ouch). I currently live in Texas with my hubby and crew of kitty babies. I am a neonatal nurse practitioner and work 24hour shifts in a busy NICU. If it looks like I disappear on random days…that’s why! About 10 years ago I lost 135 pounds. Never made it to goal but just sort of leveled off at ~200 pounds. Over time I gained back nearly 50. Working on getting back at least to my low weight of 200. I would like to eventually make it to 150 where I think I would be comfortable.

Stride kick allows people to set up activity challenges with others.. no matter what type of activity watch they have. I found it one day when trying to figure out how I (a Fitbit user at the time) could compete with my friend (an Apple Watch user)
Fitbit decided to eliminate challenges after Google bought them out so I eventually switched to Applewatch and stayed with Stridekick

I created a Weekend Warrior Challenge for all here who would like to join along :-)
