Foods logged vs Meals logged

When I go to Reports > Weekly Digest there is All-time Stats at the very bottom. Is the number under Foods logged meant for all the foods I logged so far or only for different foods I logged (so the food that is repeating is not included in this number)?

I guess this is a number for all the foods I logged (including the food that repeats) but is there a way to get only a different foods I logged in MFP? I would like to know that number, just out of curiosity, to see the number of different kinds of food I have consumed so far.

I guess the numbers for Meals logged is meant the total number of Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners and Snacks so far, right?

    This is a fairly new feature, and last I looked it still said it was beta (not final form). The help documentation is IMO a little . . . brief? ;) Perhaps some of the other MFP old-timers have figured out answers about how this feature works, but I'm sorry to say I haven't. I'm curious, too. (Some other things about it make me think it doesn't work very well yet, but I can't justify that conclusion objectively.)

    The MFP staff doesn't read every post in the Community, so in this section you're pretty much talking with other MFP users like yourself who have no more power to change the app than you have (though some of the old-timers may in general have some knowledge/insights from experience). In the section I linked above, the MFP staff does read all the posts, and they sometimes reply.

    I checked my own weekly report and since the info is very incomplete in my case (lots of non US/non English foods, that aren't recognised) it's easier to try and guess how it works.

    Based on my own vegetable and fruit consumption, it does seem to count each individual entry (even if it's the same food). So I don't think you can use it to determine the number of different foods you ate.

    Thanks for replies. Yes, I too am pretty much sure that it doesn't count the number of different foods we ate. Just a total number of entries. But it would be really interesting to know the number of different foods we consumed throughout some period (a month, or a year).
