Round 254
March 17 - 26, 2024
Please join us starting on 3/17 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 254.
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
If you feel your post is too lengthy, you can add spoilers to temporarily hide the information. It is readily available by tapping the SPOILER bar. To create a Spoiler just type or copy [ Spoiler ] xxx [ /Spoiler ] Omit the spaces within the brackets and put your information where I have xxx

My name is Krystal by the way! 39 getting ready for 40 this year. Striving to be the best I can be physically and mentallySW: 173.7 (this round)
- This is what I wrote out at the beginning of Round 250:
~ My plan for round 250 is to eliminate drinking alcohol on a nightly basis. color=darkred] Didn’t stick to this one for this last round and it shows! Will try again for round 254. **NOTE** Drinking also makes me get hot in my sleep so not only does it add empty calories but it causes me to eat extra and sleep less. [/color]

~ Did not make my 172 mini-goal this round, poo! ~ I was a bit out of sorts this week with hubby being gone and Tom compounded the situation. I lacked good sleep and worked overtime so I really didn’t have time to read the posts here (which usually lifts me up and motivates me)

~ Finished the last day of round 251 strong but I caved a bit at the end of the day when my husband was craving New York style pizza. I had 2 large cheese slices, Bruschetta Napolitana and 3 butter laden garlic knots.. oh and one of my favorite things in this world: A cannoli! Ugh ! I’m feeling the discomfort as we speak

~ I remembered that I never felt better than when I was losing weight on the original Keto plan so I went back to basics. This realization prompted me to stop using all substances as a crutch. So I’m feeling very empowered and excited for this next round!

🎷 65 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 254 (my 184th). Thank you @itladyee for keeping this going, so grateful for you stepping in in @Quiltingjaine & MIA!
Goals for this round; to lose! Scale still being erratic, obviously still reflects rate of consistency (or not!) with walking mileage as well as food. Must concentrate on consistency, really want to get back. And to break the “always looking for something to put in my mouth” syndrome!
Good luck everyone for a successful round.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

Well, this is very unexpected. Although it was kind of a high protein, low sodium, low (for me) carb day yesterday. The protein came from my “quality assurance” sampling of the pork shoulder yesterday morning.

About Me, WOE & Health Journey
****************************F65, 5’6” married, MawMaw Proud. Clean Ketovore 🥩. Track macros, kcals, all exercise and NSVs. HW 172lbs in 2010.
WOE since 7/2023: Whole Foods. No processed foods. Animal-based proteins. EGGS, Beef, pork, chicken, seafood, venison and grass-fed whey protein. I count macros & kcals - always will. (Since portion control is my issue). Keto is high-fat but I’m now leaning lower healthy fats with leaner proteins. I had paralyzing IBS for 20 years. My mother was diagnosed with celiac’s disease in her 50’s. Following her lead, I eliminated wheat, oat, barley, and rye several years ago…. Dairy? Hard cheese, HWC and butter - an occasional Greek yogurt. Vegetables destroy my digestive system… I love vegetables, but when I splurge, I pay for it for a few days… I do enjoy berries, lemons, limes. Avocados are my weakness. Enjoy a piece of dark chocolate on occasion. Generally, I eat btw noon and 6 pm. (IF18/6). Alcohol? Used to be a social drinker and would enjoy a good martini/scotch or Paloma at home while cooking dinner. NO MORE. Root of many evils. Primarily, the destruction of will power and the enemy of optimal choices. I’d rather journey toward my best-self. I haven’t given up alcohol completely, but I enjoy it sparingly on special occasions. This is me. I finally feel terrific.

I learned MY choices created an emotional 🎢 roller coaster with yo-yo weight and fitness. My forever goal is to be healthy & fit & maintain approx. 130lbs & IN SHAPE - to enjoy my “Senior” years to my fullest.
While active with 🚶♀️& 🎾 it’s clear a ST 🏋️♀️🤸🏼routine was absent. Strength & balance are 💯most important now. Time to incorporate ST 🏋️♀️ 🙆♀️🤸🏼as my TRUE focus. I want healthy/fit choices to be my first nature.

It's been a while since I've been here, but decided to focus on weight loss again and this has always been a helpful tool for me. Lost 30 pounds last spring. then gained a few of those back. Have kept up my daily walks, but need to concentrate on nutrition.
Spent last round on vacation and only gained half a pound, so that's a win! Now it's time to get serious and lose some weight before my son's wedding at the end of April.

03/17 -DNW- (Trend weight DNW) I was woke up by my oldest daughter this morning who needed to borrow my pickup truck to pick up something she found on facebook marketplace. I ended up not getting a weigh-in before coffee. Yesterday lacked exercise again but the diet was okay. I did have some skittles and smarties from Easter candy my other daughter (foodie daughter) brought in but I don’t think it was enough to throw off my whole day. I guess we’ll see tomorrow. Good luck everyone this round. I plan on really putting a dent in it this time around.

I'm feeling good going into this round. The weighing has been helping me see trends in how my body processes food. I also saw a nutritionist for the first time last week and am hoping that will help me move to a better eating lifestyle. I've been making my goal of only 2 drinks if I decide to drink. So I've added on some others.
As always, I'm only officially weighing three times per challenge for my mental health.
Nutrition goal: 150g of protein/day (I've had this set for 2 weeks and have slowly been getting closer!)
Movement goal: Short walk @ lunch to help meet step goal of 5000/d. (I do weightlifting but have a desk job, so increasing my daily movement is important)

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day! Got in a good walk by the lake. Now taking a break.

I'm Crystal! 40 yrs old, wife and mama of 3! Aiming for 1200 calories/day, less than 90 carbs and low sugar. Was doing OMAD, but adding a protein shake in after my afternoon walk to see if that will help with loss since I'm not eating a lot of protein.

Goals for this round are to increase my steps, maybe even adding another walk in on most days.
3/17 176.4 Decent day yesterday, a little higher on sodium though. I was hungry last night when I went to bed but didn't give in to snacking. Brushed my teeth and drank some water and that was that. Hoping to have a better loss this round. I seemed to have hit another plateau so I'm hoping more steps will help with this, along with aiming for more protein.

Hi everyone! I'm Elisabeth, turning 32 in just a few days, an am fairly new to MFP, first time dabbling in the forums and thought this sounded interesting. Everyone can do 10 days!

3/17 - 186.7 lbs - Still working on making the habit of tracking my intake stick, did only a short walk around the neighborhood today but deep cleaning my apartment made me move a whole lot today.
