It's been a while since I've been here, but decided to focus on weight loss again and this has always been a helpful tool for me. Lost 30 pounds last spring. then gained a few of those back. Have kept up my daily walks, but need to concentrate on nutrition.
Spent last round on vacation and only gained half a pound, so that's a win! Now it's time to get serious and lose some weight before my son's wedding at the end of April.

03/17 -DNW- (Trend weight DNW) I was woke up by my oldest daughter this morning who needed to borrow my pickup truck to pick up something she found on facebook marketplace. I ended up not getting a weigh-in before coffee. Yesterday lacked exercise again but the diet was okay. I did have some skittles and smarties from Easter candy my other daughter (foodie daughter) brought in but I don’t think it was enough to throw off my whole day. I guess we’ll see tomorrow. Good luck everyone this round. I plan on really putting a dent in it this time around.

I'm feeling good going into this round. The weighing has been helping me see trends in how my body processes food. I also saw a nutritionist for the first time last week and am hoping that will help me move to a better eating lifestyle. I've been making my goal of only 2 drinks if I decide to drink. So I've added on some others.
As always, I'm only officially weighing three times per challenge for my mental health.
Nutrition goal: 150g of protein/day (I've had this set for 2 weeks and have slowly been getting closer!)
Movement goal: Short walk @ lunch to help meet step goal of 5000/d. (I do weightlifting but have a desk job, so increasing my daily movement is important)

Goal: 1-2lbs

3/17 176.4 Decent day yesterday, a little higher on sodium though. I was hungry last night when I went to bed but didn't give in to snacking. Brushed my teeth and drank some water and that was that. Hoping to have a better loss this round. I seemed to have hit another plateau so I'm hoping more steps will help with this, along with aiming for more protein.

3/17 - 150.0 - need to get my crap together and get back to actively participating in this challenge. Last round I made it 3 days and then fell off the participation cliff. I weighed every day - but was lazy about logging/posting. I say lazy - but I was actually crazy busy and the real issue is that I did not prioritize logging/posting - which is partly how I got myself in this mess to begin with. So new week, new challenge and I am committed to making this a priority this week. My starting weight this round is exactly what it was last round - and I am lucky I have not gained during my free fall from accountability - but it is time to get serious about losing again. My weight ticked up a bit today - but that is expected as I had a very long run yesterday (14 miles) and despite having a calorie deficit for the day, my body always hangs onto weight for a day or two after an intense workout. The trick is keeping my hunger today and tomorrow under control - I am always very good on the day of my long run (and I’ve burned so many calories it is almost impossible to eat them all back) but the next day when I am resting and not doing much to burn any kind of caloric cushion - I am always ravenous. Will need to really dig into the will power and not cave to the evening chips and cookies my husband will probably be eating while sitting on the couch next to me this evening.

3/17 - 243.6 (My husband and I stayed up until 2 AM last night drinking wine and watching Oppenheimer. What a great movie. Today we did a dog walk and tons of cleaning. I've been reflecting a lot on my mental state and how frustrated I am with how much of the weight I gained back. The thoughts feel punishing and I can't find peace. Need to find a way to put that disappointment behind me to move forward.)

@ashleycarole86 Don't be so hard on yourself. You stopped yourself before gaining all of the weight back which is more than I can say for myself. Be proud of yourself for coming back to MFP and coming to this group for support. You CAN do this. We are all here to help. Focus on the things you are doing now to be the best you possible. Let the guilt and disappointment go and take baby steps back to where you want to be!

@ashleycarole86 - I know exactly how you feel, it's so easy to feel so down on yourself and hard to snap out of it and pick yourself up. But try to channel that frustration into determination to do this for yourself cuz you know it will make you feel better; you are worth it, take those baby steps one at a time. Hugs to you 🤗😘

Goals for this round; to lose! Scale still being erratic, obviously still reflects rate of consistency (or not!) with walking mileage as well as food. Must concentrate on consistency, really want to get back. And to break the “always looking for something to put in my mouth” syndrome!

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
