AFRID And new food

Hi all, I’m new here.
I’m looking to expand my food choices and make what I eat more exciting.
I struggle with AFRID, and will only eat a select amount of foods. I have a terrible fear of new foods but it’s ruining my life. A lot of the food I do eat is high in sugar and fat, mainly junk food.
I want to learn to cook healthy meals from scratch, but this is difficult when even if a packet changes the design, I’ll never touch that food again.
Has anyone ever gotten any help with this, or have any tips and tricks?
I know really I need to just ‘start’ and try new foods, but it’s really not that easy.
Ideally looking for ways to incorporate new foods with common recipes ie spaghetti bolognaise, curry etc

Start by just putting the new food on your plate beside something you know you will est. You don't need to eat it, but after 7-10 times seeing, smelling, and experiencing it on your plate, you may decide to try it. Keep putting it on your plate until you've tried it several times. That's my suggestion.
