3/28 last birthday last night, my partner's. He requested Jersey Mike's subs from the original place (they did a fundraiser yesterday; all sales to charity) for dinner. He had a giant Classic Italian, I had a mini turkey with no cheese; he ate 2 cupcakes, I ate 10 grapes. He remains the same weight as in high school, I do not. Some things just aren't equal, but here it is end of March, 7 birthdays and 4 parties later and I actually lost 3 lbs this month. It's slow and steady but at least in the right direction.

Same goals... just need 100% execution! I totally tanked the last round and compare to last year...it must be this time of year. I was starting to get excited because the weather was nicer and I could get outside....then it got cold again and snowed!
I need to revisit and implement some basics that I kick to the curb last round. It's not like I don't know what to do...just need to do it.
NSV: Even though the scale went up 4lbs... the fit in my clothes didn't change. So that tells me body composition is changing and the majority is just retention.

3/28 ~ 219.2 Something happened Tue night that felt like food poisoning...but I didn't have anything to eat that was suspect, but I felt horrible. Stayed home yesterday, no work out just rested. Didn't get my water in either. Working from home today, still resting (no workout) but will get at least 64 ounces of water in and get some planning done for the rest of the round.

3/27 173.1 Good start to the round 🙂. Stayed on track with my goals and ate mostly healthy. One thing that I noticed I need to work on is I'm taking in (mainly drinking) too many artificial sugars. Need to cut back on those. Other than that for the most part I am proud of myself for the healthy habits I have stuck with.
3/28 173.9 Little gain today and I can tell in my stomach area, just in the way I feel. I was super hungry yesterday for dinner which doesn't happen that often anymore, but I definitely ate too much salt and had a brownie and a half 😅. No complaints though, as it was expected and I was over on calories. Also, not much sleep last night. Making sure to drink extra water today.

03/27 -179.6- (Trend weight 181.1) I don’t think this weight will stick. I woke up yesterday feeling good and eating normally, but by late afternoon my tummy was making weird noises and I began to feel “off”. Last night I could not eat my dinner and ended up going to bed with just some “to-plan” snacks. My calorie and carb intake was pretty low overall. No sleep last night as I was up all night in the bathroom doing two of two things. Wow, I shed lots of water all night! I woke up today so tired but my tummy is definitely feeling better. I don’t know if it was a 24 hour stomach bug or food poisoning from the party Saturday. Several other people from the party ended up with the same symptoms. I hope today goes well. 03/28 -180.6- (Trend weight 181.1) No worries. This is just my body rehydrating after the 24 hour flu (or food poisoning) and the 3.4 lbs overnight drop I had yesterday. This feels like my true weight so the work begins again after my 2 weeks of being derailed and self-sabotage. Exercise has become pretty impossible here at this time as we are in some critical stages of the reno and the guys are staying later than ever. I’m exhausted by the time they leave and the needed time on the computer takes up my evening. The ordering doesn’t take long, it’s the shopping. Oh how I wish we had a big box home improvement store in my town or even my county like Home Depot, Lowes or Menards. Shop, return, shop, return. Ugh! I should be used to it by now.

It's been a while since I've been here, but decided to focus on weight loss again and this has always been a helpful tool for me. Lost 30 pounds last spring. then gained a few of those back. Have kept up my daily walks, but need to concentrate on nutrition. Trying to get in the 60's by my son's wedding at the end of April..

@Krysless2, Definitely NOT a silly question. Usually I only drink water with electrolytes. I have done liquid fasts; coffee (not too much) broth, water, still and sparkling, water with lemon.
If YOU do IF daily, I would say the easiest way is to increase your fasting hours every couple of days until you can go without eating for 20hrs. Stay at 20hrs for a few days with good hydration, water with electrolytes. Choosing a day that you will be occupied away from home helps tremendously.
*My 1st 24hr fast was a spiritual dry fast, that was not easy since I was at home with plenty of water. My recent 24hr water fast was difficult because I wanted to consume a gallon of water w/electrolytes that day to break through my dehydration AND I planned to do it. Lol. Planned water fasts don't usually work for me. I am a "go with the flow" Intermittent faster, eat when hungry, whether that's 1meal or 2meals a day. I DO appreciate the rest my digestive system gets during a 24hr fast. I really need to do it once a week. I hope I've answered your question adequately.❤5 -

3/28 209.6. I have taken over a year off from this group. It was a tough year, my DH passed 3/9/23, I had a total knee replacement, my special needs daughter had a kidney stone and then a blood clot and several other medical issues for various family members. The house needed work from hail damage and several other problems. Needless to say I was not very focused on me or my health. Trying to figure out this new me and get healthier one day at a time.

@musicsax @deepwoodslady @tiabirdie56 and all - thank you for the “welcome back” We had a great time! Tish, the only stress I experienced was from screaming, uncontrolled, running children. When we booked we didn’t realize we were sailing during spring break. During the days when Carl went into the towns several people asked why I stayed on the ship. My answer- because the parents take the kids with them and the ship is quiet. I love kids but they need to be taught some manners. On the plus side, we saw whales migrating north, dolphins swimming along with us and sea lions.8

@Krysless2 I usually do one meal a day (OMAD) and drink water and black coffee with an occasional Coke Zero the rest of the day. There are books about fasting if you have library access. Jason Fung, MD has co-authored a couple. If I do 24 hours or longer I have water, black coffee and broth. I just use the store brand of broth.4

3/28 - 148.4 - A little dip, for which I'm thankful. I found myself in a rut yesterday with meal planning to make my grocery list. I'll work on that after work today and hopefully come up with something that will work well without getting overly bored of certain foods and with being on-duty for the weekend (travels well/can be prepped head so I'm not called out in the middle of cooking). I'm rushing because I found out after I posted yesterday that HEB is closed Easter/Sunday and I'm out of town Saturday so I have to make a work lunch grocery run tomorrow instead. Due to leaving somewhat early Saturday, I'll also be running tomorrow for my cardio day/10k training. It'll be a busy one since I'm also going to be trying to finish a huge project tomorrow for work. Eek! This is a trial, but I can handle it with a proper mindset

Previous Day's Comments3/27 - No change but that's okay. I started estimating my calorie intake (I didn't fully measure while meal prepping and I'm not weighing things when I eat, so just a rough estimate) to ensure I'm getting enough to fuel my body with the strength training but not so much that I'll be gaining fat. I'm very low on protein this week so I'm figuring out how to up protein in my meals for the next two weeks as well as snacks to add in. This weekend's grocery trip must get me through until at least the 12th of April due to the Eclipse (can't grocery shop the weekend of the 6th/7th as I'll be on call with the Fire Department). I'm still learning what works for me with meal prep (mix and match is going very well! Day 3 and I'm not yet dreading either meal) as well as what is needed to meet my goals. A work in progress still makes small steps forward!
