I loved horses so I wanted one... you know what we got instead? Goats. Pygmy goats and occasional visits from our neighbor's chickens.
I also desperately wanted my own room. When I got one when I moved to my dad's at 17, I didn't like it so much. The whole house was too quiet with me being the only "kid" there when I was used to 5 other kids being around all the time.0 -
Penny Hardaway Shoes. My dad said I wouldn't take care of them. He was probably right since I'm 28 and now my wife tells me the same thing.0

^^This... my grandparents tried but my mom veto'd it
I also wanted a pet turantula (sp??) and a tiger... my mom was such a Debbie Downer! I never got anything fun   :sad:0 -
A piano. Somehow, an organ ended up in our living room. It was large and ugly, and could not even compare to a piano. I STILL have a secret desire to get a piano and take lessons! :ohwell:0

I wanted my Mom to have twins - then I wanted twins whenever my children were born - two of whom have children (still no twins) and the great-greats (2) are not twins either. Just for the record my husbands family has twins on both sides - just wasn't to be. I did end up with 4 different blood types in my 4 offspring - A+, AB+, AB-, and O+ Quite a feat!0
