And... I have returned. The infusion was genuinely no big deal. Very comfortable seat, built to get your feet up or lean back, however you're most comfortable. Only an hour - one guy was there for a six-hour infusion, so I felt quite lucky. Next one is in four weeks, then one more, then home injections every eight weeks after. If it works, it might show improvement after as little as four weeks. Trying not to think about it one way or the other for now. Waste of energy.
Beth - you pegged it. Anything medical is just exhausting. I'm so glad you went and got checked. Better to be wrong than to be in danger, dear heart.
Got a Walmart delivery scheduled while I was twiddling my thumbs, and on the way home stopped for beer for Corey for the weekend and Aldi for ground beef for hamburgers for dinner. We eat a lot of beef, cooked in cast iron, to try to keep my anemia at bay. Beef has about three times as much iron as chicken, so more bang for my buck, so to speak. I'd rather not do iron infusions again if I don't have to.
This week has seriously been a bust as far as exercise, but I'm sure I'll be getting more of that this next couple days. I don't have a medical appointment for two whole weeks! So pleased...
Have a good day, my chickens,
Later,
Love

Your photo looks very lovely and yes, put on some lipstick! LOL You did a good job of taming the bed head!
Our little Athena is growing up before our eyes!

I am thinking once my face clears up, I will look into some sort of make up like Parnell (been seeing lots of videos on that), and a lipstain. Part of my issues with lipstick is the heaviness and I literally can't talk normal!😂.
Yep she is! You all are her aunties.💖

LOVE Multnomah Falls. I want to go back again. We have only been there once.
I am so ready for a vacation, anywhere!! Last trip we did was our last cruise which was at the very beginning of Covid(we were on the Grand Princess-the people getting on the day we got off are the onese that got quarantined on it)
Your hair looks so good. Mom has her's short, so does my younger sister.
I have a hard time imagining what my hair would be like shorter. It is so curly with it really long.
Not planning on cutting it to see.
Heading up to mom's this evening. Looking forward to it- will be a working weekend, getting her greenhouse planted as much as I can.
I picked up all kinds of seafood for me to cook for us. Seafood salad and sushi for tonight, salmon tomorrow night and shrimp on Sunday night.
Walked MIL's dog for a shorter walk and will do the shorter path at the wetlands. I have, what I believe to be shingles popped up again on my foot. I get them every six months or so, only on my feet but in different spots. This time it is a cluster of blisters the size of a nickle right where the toes meet the ball of my foot, right in the middle. I did pop one of the blisters last night because it was hurting so much. That helped. May have to pop another one after my walk.
Need to start packing my clothes and the plants I plan on taking up. Find the seeds(they aren't where I thought they were)

We returned the loaner car today then went to Sam’s (I had a credit and wanted to get dishwashing detergent – theirs was rated the highest.) and Vince ordered new glasses. Then went to WalMart for a few things.
Ginnny – yes, I totally and completely agree that anyone who has access to children (or the infirmed) should get a background check. When I worked in the school district, I had it. But I also think that there needs to be some reasoning. Like this one guy is a bingo caller. Heck, there aren’t even children IN the bingo room. Ushers – like they have access to children (unless they’re escorting them to the bathroom, but I wouldn’t let anyone else but myself usher my child to the bathroom and I would probably go in with them.). I think the church is probably over-compensating for all the religious sexual scandals. But I’m not going to pay the money just so I can lector. Like I said, I volunteer at the soup kitchen where I have much more access to children and they don’t require it. If I have to stop lectoring or counting the donations – I stop. I’m certainly not going to die. I wonder if the church is going to find themselves needing even more volunteers. The only problem I have is with the idea is that I have to pay to volunteer. And then I have to pay again to renew it.
Hair – I usually cut my bangs myself and about every 6 months or so and then I go and have a regular haircut
Debbie – One of the things I’m constantly amazed at is how thankful people are at the soup kitchen. It’s few and far between for someone to give you a hard time. Just last week this lady asked for a dish of water for her dog while she ate. So I gave it to her. I figure the dish is going to get sanitized when it goes thru the dishwasher, anyway. Well, someone else told her that she couldn’t do it because it was unsanitary. She apologized to me over and over and kept saying that she hoped she didn’t get me in any trouble. I wouldn’t call this unsanitary, but it CAN get out of control. So many people will say “thank you for doing this”. They just served their one millionth meal
Tracey – I have no problem if I get the clearance for free. Somehow, tho, I suspect the church won’t do that. Guess we shall see. To me, it makes much more sense for them to do it.
Rusty – have fun seeing Wicked. Are you seeing a play or the movie?
Annie – what’s the matter???
For the life of me I kept thinking that the guy who is basically taking Jerry’s place (actually, he’s doing a better job.) looked familiar. Today it dawned on me. I swear he could be Pete’s twin. They talk alike, they’re both on the thin side, will work hard, he even has a short beard like Pete! He’s Italian, too.
Heather – really hope this round of antibiotics works to get rid of the UTI completely
Rebecca – you look absolutely stunning in that picture
Just got back from my walk around the neighborhood. Oh, one of my neighbors is having an estate sale. You should have seen how many cars there were! And I also saw that another neighbor just put their house on the market. Good for them they got a lot of drive-by traffic, which doesn’t happen much in my development. Guess I should call and see if I need to appear for jury duty Monday.
Took two traffic cones to my neighbor for her to borrow for tomorrow so that people don’t turn around in her driveway. Today she parked a car at either end of the driveway. This way she won’t have to do without a car tomorrow.

I develop (or hopefully ... developed, past-tense) pre-cancerous and cancerous polyps which got into the lining. So the surgery was polyp removal, D&C, and application of a topical cancer destroyer.
Doing all that twice has left me with a prolapsed bladder. But no more cancer!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I intend to enjoy the weekend, hopefully with a modicum of moderation.
I was growing my hair out before the first lockdown. I did have it trimmed a couple of times between lockdowns, but not recently. I just trim off the messy ends from time to time. I did a trim last week. Heather: Sorry about the UTI. Hope it doesn’t affect your surgery.

Good morning ladies!
Thank you for your concern. I don't really know whether I had a bug or just severe dehydration. Thursday I climbed the stairs, and suddenly got so dizzy I was crashing into the walls. I stumbled to the bathroom, vomited, spent a few hours on the floor in there, and then made it to bed with a headache. I swear I wasn't drinking alcohol at all. I'm just lucky this was after I drove home from horseback riding.
Yesterday was recovery. I read a book "The Return" by Nicholas Sparks. I'm still a bit weak, but I suppose I ought to do some gentle exercise today.
Nothing on the calendar today, except a little laundry, and returning a call from a friend in Albuquerque. Oh and a quick run to the drugstore.
My hair is long, straight and limp. The length doesn't take extra care this way. When it was short, I had to curl it and spray it, then wash out the spray, and that was a nuisance. Not to mention the haircut appointments.
I do dye it with henna about every four months. That's a royal pain, but I love the results.
It's wet out this morning. It doesn't seem to be raining but Teddy came back in wet.
Have a great day, my friends! May you be happy, healthy, safe and free!

Geez Annie ,that doesn't sound good at all,I'd lay low today If I were you..
Rita- have you come up with my character yet?
Its a yucky rainy weekend here..2 -
Annie ~ Sorry you were feeling bad and hope you continue to feel better. Maybe you got too hot during your horseback ride.
Debbie ~ I do a trivia quiz every morning and learned a new word today that describes you and your husband. Y'all are ailurophile's....People who love cats.
Carol in GA6 -
Good morning, my chickens, from the soon-to-be rainy morn of the socked-in Arkansas River Valley,
My husband's heading into work for the morning to get one of the trucks fixed that just came in last night and needs to be available on Monday morning. Hate how tired he gets when he works this much overtime, but that kind of responsibility to his job is why his employer loves him. They treat him well.
Since it's a rainy day, I will probably do my yoga and then work on the quilt I've got in progress. No pressure on anything today. Can't even express how lovely it is to not have anything medical for the next 17 days.
Heather - Hope the next bout of antibiotics does it for the UTI, so glad you're on top of it, and the docs are willing to take your word. It's just not an option with the VA docs.
Annie - That does not sound like any fun at all! Hope you're feeling much better today. Take care of yourself, dear heart.
Machka - Love the color, it looks like it will brighten your space enormously.
Vicki - What was the upshot overall on what's going on with your heart? You may have said and I missed it, sorry. You stay on my mind, especially with how hard you work.
On with my day, hope yours is, was, or will be filled with joy and serenity,
Love,

Could be dehydration. Did you drink water at all before, during or after your horseback riding?
Have an extra couple glasses of water today.
It's probably OK to exercise a bit ... go for a walk with your father.

I watched a video on YouTube last night on insulin resistance. As I look back to my numbers from my last doctor appointment I was going from the slipping category to pre diabetic. This wake up call is what got me to change my diet. The damage insulin can do in your body when it is not doing its job properly is scary same with cortisol. Both insulin and cortisol are important to our health. When they are in excess and can't do their job properly it leads to excess inflammation leading to weight gain and many chronic diseases arthritis, cancer, heart disease, blindness, dementia.
His solutions is eat a diet of real food no processed that adds extra sugars and starches. A low carbohydrate diet and some fasting. Foods high in fat are not the problem. Foods high in starch and sugar are. My diet is not perfect but it now much more in alignment with his suggestions. Going off wheat and corn and reducing other grains like rice and oats has helped me tremendously.
As I shared before...waist is smaller, blood pressure down, no gum disease, low grade sinus infection is down, weight is down. (167 pounds)
Continuing to work on the internal Me. Reading the Book the Light We Give...An autobiography written by, Simran Singh, a Sikha. I am finding it very thought provoking and helpful as I find ways to give purpose and kindness to myself and to others in the times we live in today.9 -
Good morning, ladies.
Annie, sorry to hear about your illness. Hopefully it passes quickly.
Rita, what characters are still needed? Would like to jump onboard.
Hubby is getting busy here. Had the electrician out yesterday and he wired everything for the seed cleaner. Put a control panel in that has only two buttons to start the machine so a very simple setup. Also has a safety feature that will shut down the unit if it gets overloaded with grain. Hopefully it works good. He's still setting things up so probably won't be trying it out until later this afternoon.
We are in a total fire ban area as I'm sure is most of the province is. Extremely dry here. Not able to burn our household garbage anymore so will just collect the bags in the garage then take them to our local dump. We usually just burn in our burning barrel in the yard but certainly can't do that for now. Lots of concern that we are going to be in a drought this year. Southern Alberta uses irrigation for crops and some areas have already been told they will only have access to 1/2 of the water they usually use. Will have a major impact on crops and also pastures for cattle.
Enjoy the day.

We're going for a "beach" look ... if you look up Beach or Coastal decor, you'll see the sort of thing I mean.
These places are NOT our place, but I like the look of the blue walls and white trim
We've decided to do the main living area and main bedroom in blue, and leave the rest white because the white paint in the other rooms looks in good shape.

We're in a drought in Tassie. Several places have water restrictions in place now.
And the long range forecast (wild guess) is for a dry winter. That's usually when we get most of our rain.
I keep hoping for another solid day of rain like we had a few weeks ago. That won't solve the problem but it would help.

Part 1.
Our MFP Murder Mystery characters and players so far:
Fairy Godmother [b/]- Rita (Still doting over the disappearance of her goddaughter, Felicity continues to hope that Cinderella will reappear and everyone will live happily ever after.)
Jinn ——————-Vicki (Jinn wants to get out of her lamp forever and become human. Perhaps her friendship to Rita is causing some mischief?)
Dwarf (Herbbette) ———Tracey (Like a sister to Sleeping Beauty, Allie’s dependence on Herbbette is endearing to some an annoying to others.)
Red’s Gran ———Barbara AHMOD (having escaped from the Wolf, Barbara is plotting something, but what or who will be affected?
Red ——————-Kylia (Red came to the Ball with her Gran. Unaware that she is plotting something. Red suspects something is wrong, but what?)
Rapunzel (Princess)————-Machka (Depserate to get out of her tower, this trapped temptress may have more than one offer on the table… the question is which one will she pick?)
Pixie ——————Rebecca (Pixie is flitting around the Ball everywhere. She is gathering information about each party guest to report back to??)
Nosey——————Michele (Nosey is walking from one group of guests to another. Not staying in any one place for very long. What’s this? She stops and writes notes in a notebook between each group. For what purpose??)
Sleeping Beauty——Allie (With hopes of moving out of the bed, this princess hopes to soon be known not as the daughter of an evil queen, but as the wife of prince that is charming.)
Cinderella ———-Lisa in AR (After being missing for a month, Cinderella shows up at the ball, dirty, tired, and ready to confront her kidnapper(s). She simply wants to rest first, but the Ball has disoriented her.)
Jasmoor———Heather (Heather thought that Jinn was her friend and would help her through anything. But now, she is questioning this friendship..)
Belle——Joy (Having tamed the ‘Beast’, Joy is happily going about her life. But no one knows her true motives…)
Grettel—- Linda (Wandering the woods and destroying the evil witch, Linda is becoming more confident and independent. But will that lead her to her goals?)
Griselda (Cinderella’s Stepsister)——Rusty (After years of animosity, Griselda has earned Cinderella’s trust and her place in the castle. Now that Cinderella is gone, will Griselda be next to disappear mysteriously?)
Prince Charming
“MFP Timeless Tale of Treachery and Treason in a Kingdom Far, Far Away”
“After the mysterious disappearance of Cinderella, Prince Charming is throwing a fancy dress ball to find a new bride. Some of the kingdom residents question how the prince could move on so quickly, while others are jumping at the chance to earn their spot as the new princess in the castle. No one has seen the Prince since Cinderella disappeared and the rumors are rampant!”
During the ball, as the dancing and rumors escalate, someone dies in the palace. Who died? Where? When? Why? How long was the victim dead? How did the victim die? What is happening?????
RVRita (Fairy Godmother) from the Kingdom of Roswell…….
Part 2:
The Ball has begun and people are arriving in droves. The entire MFP Women’s 50 plus group have arrived. The band has begun with background quiet music to welcome the guests. The servers are wandering among the guests with low carb, low calorie snacks, water, flavored waters, wine and diet drinks.
Fairy Godmother stands at the entrance welcoming the guests. Look! Here comes Jinn, Dwarf, Red’s Gran, Red, Rapunzel, Pixie, and Nosey! No one has seen Prince Charming. When will he arrive? The party is for him to choose a new bride. The crowd talks about the missing Cinderella and what they feel the Prince is rushing the search for a new bride.
The night progresses with more questions as it is near Midnight now, but the Prince has not shown up for his own Ball. Questions are floating among the guests as the band plays on.
The guest gasps in shock as Sleeping Beauty has just shown up with Cinderella!!
RVRita (Fairy Godmother) from the Kingdom of Roswell…….7 -
Having fun with the MFP Mystery! Hope you all enjoy it too. Sorry about the bold, I missed a spot when trying to bold the characters.
If I missed anyone, please let me know. I can still add you in. We are at a Ball after all!! (If anyone doesn’t mind playing a male part, I still need a Prince Charming, Beast, Aladdin, and other ‘husbands’. If none, I can work with that!!
