Hey everyone! We are back at it again with round 19!
Congratulations to those of you who stuck it out till the end in round 18! It is a long, but amazing journey and our daily habits can help us achieve our long-term goals.
This challenge is 100 days of weighing in daily. This is where we track our fluctuations on a day-to-day basis to see which foods, activities, & movement make the scale move in the right direction.
We all have our different reasons to shed some pounds: Improved
health, better fitting clothes, upcoming events, self-esteem, mobility, swimsuit season etc.
Day 1 will be on Wednesday April 10.24 & Day 100 will be on Wednesday July 17.24
Feel free to start whenever you want. Jump in and join even if you didn’t start on Day 1.
The rules are simple:
1. Set yourself a goal of what you want to weigh on Day 100 and work towards getting there for the next 100 days.
2. Weigh yourself daily, unless you can’t (you’re away from home or not near a scale).
3. Don’t get discouraged by fluctuations. Use this as a time to understand your body.
4. Log your weight on here every single day. Feel free to share how you feel about your weigh in as well.
5. Including your age and height lets us get to know you, but not mandatory.
6. Encourage others, including yourself.

I'm focusing on regaining fitness and losing wt so I can achieve my physical goals for this summer; KVR bike 80km, and "do the Grouse Grind" in Vancouver, BC., as well as multiple kayak paddles. I'm a 5'1" active senior who totally believes that boundaries set by ourselves, society and family, are meant to be pushed.

I'm in. I have been playing the "lose 15 gain 15, lose 20 gain 20" game for too long. Recently I have been working on the psychological reasons for this and I feel I have discovered some understanding. Now I'm ready to work it out. Figuratively and literally ...lol

Well, please do share how you have found the way to eliminate this.
I slowly slowly lost weight beginning in October of 2018, but over the last 2 years have been gaining back approximately 2 pounds per 100 days.
I have looked back and my fitness and eating have not really changed since I was 16 pounds lighter.
I have days where I am stressed about this.
Any insight that you could give would be welcome : - )

Thoughts:
Last round I had my normal goal of a 12 pound loss which is approximately 4 lbs per month. That comes to about 90 days leaving the other 10 open for special holidays and social occasions. In theory, it’s a good plan. In practice it is a Mountain to Crawl up. However, each 100 day round I am extremely grateful for any progress I can make, no matter how big or small. I am also grateful for all the support from all of you that I get on a daily basis. Working on my health has become my #1 priority. My main goals are to maintain my remission by staying cancer free and to keep my diabetes in control. Losing weight is key to both goals.

Day 01-04/10-181.6-(Trend weight 181.7)I’m still waiting for my family doctor to call me for the follow-up appointment. Things are unchanged, about the same as yesterday. I watched every B-L-T yesterday and it helped the scale today. I must say, I never thought I would miss my exercise routine but sitting or laying with my feet up is getting old. I actually started this yesterday but woke up this morning and I was the same weight so I’m calling this day one 🤷♀️
Day 1 - 4/10/24 = 152 lbs
I have a very stressful life by design and I love it but the flipside of that coin is that I am a stress eater. 😳 I imagine some of you can relate to this. I also was a child of food insecurity so not only do I eat for nourishment and comfort, but I eat for security. With that my goals today are:
* be very mindful about everything that goes in my mouth
* No eating after 8:00 PM (20:00)
* Acknowledge every bite I take and really taste it.
* Put the fork down in between each bite
* And give thanks 🙏
I want to tell everyone here that I am thankful for this group and the support. We got this! 💪

My goal is to be proud of my weight loss.
Day 01 80.1 kg, I did my planned exercise but I overate a little bit (I'm tracking my intake), since I started tracking I've eaten out 4 times and I need to compensate for those times. I read "most people who lose weight will regain it within 5 years", I checked my old numbers and I'm 3.5 kg under what I weighed 5 years ago. I guess I'm in that category. I talked to my partner about my weight loss (something I'm trying to do less often).

I'm focusing on regaining fitness and losing wt so I can achieve my physical goals for this summer; KVR bike 80km, and "do the Grouse Grind" in Vancouver, BC., as well as multiple kayak paddles. Thoughts:
Last round I had my normal goal of a 12 pound loss which is approximately 4 lbs per month. That comes to about 90 days leaving the other 10 open for special holidays and social occasions. In theory, it’s a good plan. In practice it is a Mountain to Crawl up. However, each 100 day round I am extremely grateful for any progress I can make, no matter how big or small. I am also grateful for all the support from all of you that I get on a daily basis. Working on my health has become my #1 priority. My main goals are to maintain my remission by staying cancer free and to keep my diabetes in control. Losing weight is key to both goals.

Day 01-04/10-181.6-(Trend weight 181.7)I’m still waiting for my family doctor to call me for the follow-up appointment. Things are unchanged, about the same as yesterday. I watched every B-L-T yesterday and it helped the scale today. I must say, I never thought I would miss my exercise routine but sitting or laying with my feet up is getting old. Good luck everyone this round. This one takes us into the middle of the summer-that time when we generally want to look and feel Fabulous!
Day 02-04/11-179.6-(Trend weight 181.5) Well, here I am – settled back down into that comfortable space of the high 170’s. I’ve been sitting here for a bit longer that I’d hoped due to setback after setback. I’m still grateful to have hit the 170’s but it’s time to start making some serious progress toward the lower 170’s and inch my way into the 160’s. Maybe if I stay quiet, tip-toe even, maybe the universe won’t see me and I can claim the 160’s as mine by the 4th of July. Yesterday I was hungry all day. I tried something new. I ate part of my lunch earlier than usual then finished it at regular time. I did the same with dinner, eating my side between lunch and dinner then my entrée at normal time. I saved my snacks for night, otherwise it would have been a snack binge-fest. It seemed to have worked pretty well. I’ve got to start changing my mindset that I must be stuffed full to stop eating. It’s okay to be satisfied. Food for fuel, right?
