Reversing T2

Hiya I am new here. I am in phase 2 of the ABL/NHS diet and have done super great losing 4 and a half stone in the 12 weeks on meal replacement however I am now reintroducing food on week 3 and moving up my calorie goal. My nutritionist wants me to maintain for a while but I still have a long way to go until my goal weight so I am scared although I understand the reasons behind it, to work out what my baseline calorie intake is and to practice maintenence as a skill while I have the support in place, I will have to see how I do. I am eating 1200 calories a day and exercise most days. I also have to keep my carbs and sugars low or I risk redeveloping T2 diabetes. Your inspiration and motivation will always be welcomed along with any positive criticism 😁.

    Hi and welcome :)

Sounds like you are off to a good start

The idea to maintain to establish a baseline is interesting. At one time. My first "draw the line in the sand" goal was to stop the gain and eat at maintenance level of calories. That felt better emotionally than cutting calories too low.

I hope your reintroduction of food goes well and you find an approach that works well for you :)

You’re in the right mindset, and you have a nutritionist on board.

    You can do this!
