For beginners, what is recommended high protein foods?

Hi. Im new to the gym and on a journey to build muscle but aiming for a toned look. I hear a lot of people saying protein is key and not much progress could be seen w/o it. But im unsure what foods are high in protein and how often and how much of it i should eat. Thank you.

If you're a fairly nonmal weigh, .7-1 gram of protein per pound of lb of bodyweight is plenty. Best to get it in a few times a day. Progress comes from overall diet, a good training program and enough intensity to actually tax muscles.
"toned" is a state of having adequate muscle mass and low bodyfat.1 -

It helped me.
Also, while it's always good (and IMO tastier) to get nutrients from food, it's fine to use protein powder or protein bars to fill a gap, especially while working out a new and more sustainable eating routine.0
