Hi, I am a student,I have body image issues and currently gaining weight. I want to feel active,less depressed and be accountable for my life choices.

    Start moving. Get your heart rate up. Log your food on MFP and analyze your choices. You'll know where to make improvements. Do activities you like. See people. Dont doomscroll.

    The best activity is the one you can enjoy doing for its own merits, not just because it counts as exercise. Walking around the block so you can say hi to all your neighbors; walking in nature to look at the flowers and birds; dancing because the music makes you want to move; playing sports because you love the competition and being part of a team. If you look forward to doing something, you will keep doing that something; fitness is a fortunate by-product.

    It may take some experimentation to find what clicks with you, so be willing to try a variety of things, even stuff you never dreamed of doing, like indoor wall climbing, martial arts, ballroom dancing, swimming laps in a pool, joining a crew that rows boats on Saturday mornings...there's an infinite number of options out there. Just try something, see if it clicks; if it doesn't, no problem, try something else.
