Getting back to seriously losing weight

Good Morning, many years ago I joined my fitness pal, however, i never quite figured out the tracking and gave up. It's really a hard job for me to take the time to find or list foods and since I'm usually not home and don't have my computer available to jot down foods as I eat them, at the end of a tiring day the last thing I want to do is sit down and journal the foods from the day, I realize I must if I am to be serious this time around... so I'm really going to try hard to get this ball rolling... hopefully I can begin a water aerobics class and monitor my foods and actually make some progress on this weight loss journey of mine. I really need to watch my carbs especially as I am a diabetic, who finally has my bsl numbers under control, so that make the journey that much harder for me, I've tried no carbs and that just doesn't work out well for me, I also have lots of stomach issues so no fried foods or spicy foods either, and very little dairy as I try to use lactose free products or at least for my milk. If anyone has any suggestions or has been in my shoes, I am 100 pounds overweight and would love to lose 4-5 pounds in a month.
thanks, Gingermom

I am restarting my weight loss journey too, I am a mom of two and just don't want to keep up the unhealthy patterns I have developed, this is a journey. I know we can both do the hard work :-)

    Hello, and welcome!

There's a great group here specifically for people who have (or had) 75+ pounds to lose. There are lots of nice people there with good advice who provide tips and support.

No, I don't belong to that group. I "only" needed to lose 50 pounds to reach a healthy weight (now maintaining that loss), so I'm not eligible. But I know quite a few of the participants from their posts in the general Community, so would recommend it to you without hesitation.

No matter what you decide, I wish you success: I think the results are very much worth the effort!
