Looking for fitness buddies, women over 50

Hi, I'm Stephanie. I'm 54. I have a goal to lose weight and get fit but, I keep sabotaging myself. I'm hoping to find some fitness buddies (women over 50) to support and be supported by. If you are also looking, please send me a friend request and introduce yourself.

    I will be your fitness buddy. I also need motivation and someone to push me. I am currently walking every morning about 5 miles. I got a Fitbit and it has really helped to keep me focused. I like to push myself to get more steps each day.

    Hi! I'm 54 and early in my fitness journey. I understand self-sabotage; seems that as soon as I'm seeing progress I veer off course. It's a learning experience!

    Hi, I'm 57 and I just started again today! I also keep sabotaging myself, I do good, see results, then veer off course. I then get very angry at myself. I wish I could stop this cycle!! I would love to have someone to go through this journey with!

    Hi Stephanie, Im Sue and I'm 52. Send me a friend request (any one else that's already responded is welcome to do so as well) and we can journey together. I had lost 65# and have regained 40# due to some health issues. I have just gotten a good report from docs andmI'm ready to start again. My former weightloss was with Weight Watchers so revamping to calorie counting has been a difficult transition. I could always use some help too. :)

    Hi I am a newbie! My name is Jennie & I am 56 yrs old. I am in need of motivation!!! I just started the food diary this week. I need to get into an exercise routine. I have them at home sitting, & they aren't going to put their self into the dvd player. I am just not motivated. Maybe someone on her can be my inspiration. I need to lose 40-50 lbs.

    I just turned 54. I've been here for about 80+ days, lost 14lbs and want to lose about 40ish. Anyone feel free to check out my profile and friend request me. I'm happy to add more friends. I keep my diary open and log daily. I've found this place to be great for keeping me on track. I would like to get more workouts in, but this summer has been really hard to get in the swing of it. I have two teenagers, a husband and a job that all take some of my time and energy. I like to cook!

    Hello all! I 54 soon to be 55 and working out was great looked good for the wedding and vacay to Virginia Beach. But like most getting back in the groove of things has been very hard and uneventful.
    I need motivation to get my groove back!!

  • Hello, I am Cindy and have been going it alone for a few months now but I am wearing down and need pals to help keep me on track. I am 58 almost 59 and have a goal of loosing 75 pounds.     I am 54 also. I just began this project. My daughter who is in college got me started in it. I have about 40 pounds to lose. I am trying to watch what I eat and walk for my exercise. I am starting easy and trying to gradually build to a do-able regime that I can reasonably maintain. I lost weight about 5 years ago and got very thin with a strenuous exercise and eating program. But it was too much and my lifestyle slowly ebbed it away. So now I want to work toward my goal a little slower and maintain. That is the biggest obstacle for me. To maintain. It seems I can lose the weight - but have a hard time maintaining the loss with my lifestyle. Hope to be an encouragement for you. Thank you! Cathryn
