Weight loss log in app

I'm currently doing body recomposition with the deficit of 500 calories per day and also doing strength training. If I lose some weight in a week do I need to log in the weight in app weekly in? Is it necessary what will be the impact of doing this on my maintenance calorie calculation.

MFP doesn't update your goal automatically when you enter weigh-ins.
So you can track your weigh-ins just to track your progress and then you need to go through your goal set-up every 10 or so lbs lost to get an updated calorie goal.

I'm not sure what you're asking...
what will be the impact of doing this on my maintenance calorie calculation.

Just change it and see if it changes anything you don't want changed.

Your "Maintenance calories" will always be whatever they will be. Weight loss (or weight gain) calories are what will change.

Reset your goals every 5 or 10 pounds. mFP doesn’t automatically recalibrate for your newer, lighter body, which will need fewer calories.

Although, just to muddle things, mine (iOS) app does randomly recalibrate for small maintenance fluctuations. No always. At random.)

And be careful about cutting too hard while trying to build muscle. I had trained several times a week during a period
like that and ended up losing a lot of muscle.

Nourishment is fuel. I have to try to remember that.
