The Food Database Really Needs Curation and Editing

First off, although MFP is the best recipe builder and meal tracker I've found, it's woefully difficult to use, and also can't be exported?! Come on. Not even a CSV?
Also, let's enjoy this glorious screenshot:
Last time I check, mL wasn't a very logical or common measurement for a powder. Sure, it can be, I guess, but all nutrition facts for these kinds of food are in grams. The integrity of the database is very much in question.
What's more, it's really hard to find consistency across ingredients, because there's no clear master database. This makes it challenging to build calorically accurate recipes.
Finally, why can't you use recipes inside of other recipes? As an example - I can build a recipe for my vegan mayonnaise, so I know how many calories per serving of that recipe, but then I typically will use the vegan mayo in a chicken salad or a sandwich, which would be another recipe, that would be included with fruit or something for a meal.
The tracking is useful and convenient, but it's not full-fledged enough for those of us who are cooking and building our own meal-plans, and your meal-planning services don't fit my lifestyle or preferences.
Please consider:
1. Allowing a clear choice of databases or a local only library of foods
2. Allowing use of recipes in other recipes for calorie counting
3. More meal-planning and cooking related tools

Thank you so much for this feedback on the current food database! We are looking at ways to enhance the experience, so we will keep your suggestions in mind.
For now, please note that you can duplicate Recipes. At the moment is only available on the website. We will consider bring it to the apps in the future.
On the web:- Log into the website - https://www.myfitnesspal.com
- Click Food then Recipes
- Find the recipe you would like to copy and select Copy
- You'll be taken to the recipe editing screen where you should see (copy) at the end of the recipe title
- Edit your Recipe and Save or Save & Log It
