Newbie introduction about losing weight

Finally decided to stop eating like I'm 20 years old, getting my butt off the couch, finding routines in the gym that will become habits, and get my weight to a reasonable number.
It's been about a decade since I tried to take my health seriously. Luckily for me, I saw a post on FB about an anytime fitness near me offering a 6 week challenge that could include getting your money back. Being a cheap skate, I thought this is the right price for me as long as the terms are not outrageous.
Fast forward 2 weeks now and I'm on my way to getting my money back, learning how to control my calories in/calories out, and starting to relearn my body and what it will do.
I'm glad to have also found this app and potentially make some new friends with it. I'm not a faithful poster, but I will keep anyone who is interested updated on my progress, as well as anything else I feel like sharing. If you were bored enough to read this, thanks for your time.
