Daily Check-In from MeasureBackward #1

New here today. Thought a daily check-in might help my motivation. Will weigh myself in the morning, and start my habit transformation by taking myself for a morning walk each day. My goal is to lose weight and improve my mood.

    Hi! Welcome! A daily check in is great for motivation. I do the same thing....weigh in every morning and log my food. You can do this! Good luck and keep posting!

    Thank you @Crochetluvr
    I got two walks in today and do feel more positive for it, although physically tired.
    Weigh in this morning was 254.5

    @measurebackward ,

    Wow....two walks. That's great! I had one...it really does help. I tend to have more energy after I have been active and not at all when I am just sitting around. Amazing, isn't it?

    I am glad you are feeling more positive. Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. But the rewards are worth the time and effort. This is my 4th time on MFP. The first time I lost 50 pounds. I gained back 30 over 10 years time. I came back twice since but left after a few days....I wasn't ready. But this time I am....been here 45 days now. And, TBH, I get as much motivation out of cheering on others as I receive from others.

    There are no diet police....we police ourselves but it's nice to know we aren't alone in our efforts. One meal at a time....one walk at a time....one day at a time. Keep posting!

    I agree, @Crochetluvr exercising makes me feel more energetic too!

    Today I am starting to think about what things I want to measure backward (this is a James Clear thing).

    Enjoy your day everyone.

    Good morning. I am still working on my list of things I want to work on. It is a long list but once I've finished it I can prioritise. I think habit stacking might be a good thing. My mood is better, but no walk yesterday as I seem to have a sore back. Have a good day!

    Weight today 18 st 3.0 (255). Day 1 of the 100 days of weighing in. Looking forward to seeing some permanent habit changes. Change number 1 is weighing daily so I get a better idea of what's going on with the scales.
