I am here for it! My weight has crept back up and there is no time to waste with the holidays around the corner. Thank you @RubyRed427 for continuing the group!4

Please share healthy recipes. If they are cost-saving, even better. Here is one I am making tonight. I've made it several times. My husband loves it too. Only change for me, I decreased the cayenne pepper to 1/8 tsp as I found it too spicy. You can always add more, or hot sauce, if you want. Or omit it and lower amount of jalepeno if spicy is not your thing.

I'm in! I have been struggling to lose weight for as long as I can remember. I have finally decided that I had enough playing around and making excuses and finally get my weight under control. It has been so hard for me because I didn't see that I had some motivation from my family. But I want to take charge of my life and get to my goal with a lot of motivation so I can have friends that can help me get to my goal.8

Thank you @RubyRed427 for setting up the next challenge, it really helps me posting on the discussion board
I'm in, I haven't posted in a while because of a long holiday in Spain where I went off track, and didn't have any bathroom scales to get weighed on. But it wasn't so bad, 3 pounds gained in 2 months.
Back to tracking calories now, I have 3 months to lose another 8 pounds before we go on a cruise.
And also I ordered a dress for a special wedding, it's not been delivered yet, it will be interesting to see how it fits when it arrives ( there was only one size left in stock, which was close to my size - UK 12 - it might be a little tight. We'll see)

I would like to lose 10 lb this month. My methods will be no alcohol at all, no ice cream, smaller portions for meals , which really works if I stick to it, a daily walk unless it's raining, and hand weights 3x a week. These goals are realistic and achievable. I will be weighing in on Fridays since today is the first.
Don't forget to set your clocks back (here in the US) tomorrow night! Good luck to everyone with their goals!

OK, another round...
11-1. 145.2 lbs
This will be a difficult round for me. It encompasses Thanksgiving (US), Christmas, and a week-long mid-January trip to the beach. I am on another 4-day trip, more local trip, over Thanksgiving. My plan is to log every day, excluding the two trips and two days for Christmas. Although I will have gaps in reporting in here due to being away (and not being able to weigh-in on my own scale), I will come back to report after my food-extravagant trip in January. And then joining in on the much needed next thread! Good luck everyone with meting their goals. My goal is to weigh 140 lbs in time for my beach trip; 138 lbs would be my stretch goal. Overall goal would be to continue to lose some weight; slow is okay (but not what I want!).

I'm in too. Thanks again Ruby Red for keeping us going.

11/01-190.6-(Trend Weight: 192.1)- I was able to weigh in after all though this is typically a no-weigh Friday. There is no school today for my DGS so I was able to hop on the scale at around my normal time. I’m shocked to see the scale did not go up. My meals were good yesterday but then I got into my DGS’s Halloween bag and had two fistfuls of candy bar minis / m&m’s. I give away small bottles of Sunny D and Capri Sun drink pouches (no red dyes in either) so there was no candy temptation here UNTIL he came in with a bunch of candy that he’s smart enough to ration even at age 6. I could learn a lot! Anyway, God was Good and I was blessed with the exact same weight as yesterday and a trend weight that went down. Good luck to all, let's make it a good month and a good challenge overall! We can do this!

HI and thank you for welcoming new people to your challenge. I’m doing it to restore my health and to quit quitting on myself. My highest weight was 313. I’m 65, retired and determined to reach my goals. I set myself up for failure by trying to do too many things all at once. I usually quit about 2 to 3 weeks in. So, for November I set my baseline goals of daily movement for 10 mins, plan my food daily either the night before or the morning of and assess each night. My goal for this challenge is to log daily and lose at least one pound each week. Here’s to each of us reaching our goals!
Nov 1: 291.4

Hi, my name is Anna. I am 42 and wanting to try my first challenge with MyFitnessPal! @amigababy and @SunnyDays930 - your targets were helpful for me to view! I’ll set a 152lb target by 1/31 for my first challenge.
My plan is to track food daily, brush my teeth right after dinner to avoid further snacking and eat vegetables with every meal. I struggle when I don’t make healthy food choices and then don’t want to track them and « fall off the bandwagon » until I circle back. I’m hoping that by trying community accountability here for the first time, that I can confront the « all or nothing » mindset.
Weekend goals:
-Brush teeth right after dinner Saturday & Sunday
-Long hike Saturday
-vegetables with every meal

Welcome to the challenge and best wishes in your journey

Hi all! I'm jumping in for my very first MFP challenge despite having been a member for almost 15 years - I'm in a slump and need a bit more accountabilty.
Not sure on my weight currently (last I checked it was 196 @ 5'9") so I'll update with that tomorrow, but my goal is 15 pounds less from whatever that # is by the end of January. I've managed to lose 25+ pounds in the last year and half (woohoo) and have been focusing a lot on putting on as much muscle as possible, eating lots of protein and upping my fibre, but I haven't been as consistent as I should be and it's greatly sloooooooooowed my progress. Determined to dial it in for the rest of the year and start 2025 off on a great foot.
Little bit 'bout me:
- 40.5 Canadian mama to a high energy 3.5 year old :')
- was recently training for a half marathon mid October but COVID wiped me out a week before
the race
- love lifting heavy things .. weights < cardio every time!
GOALS:
- daily stretching
- daily logging
- 4 strength sessions/week, 1 HIIT, 9K steps/day
- focus on protein & fibre
- up the water, reduce the caffeine
I'll be back tomorrow!8 -

@2GoAwayPounds These are fantastic goals. Very realistic and achievable and ones that should lead to some wonderful success for you. The way I update my post daily is to keep a note on file, update it and copy and paste it here in the challenge. I also have a basic skeleton format I start with each month. I hope this helps. Welcome to the challenge. It's wonderful to have you here!9 -
WELCOME TO ALL OUR NEWBIES. I'M SO GLAD YOU ALL HAVE JOINED US. LET'S DO THIS!!!!!8
-
Thank you so much, @RubyRed427! What a great idea! I would love to join, even though I'm in several challenges already. (That's okay; I need all the help I can get!)
My weigh-in days will be Wednesdays until January 1st - then I will go back to Sundays. I will post initial weight, scale app stats and key measurements on Wednesday, November 6th, which is only 8 weeks until we ring in the new year, can you believe it? I will post final challenge weight, scale app stats and key measurements on Friday, January 31st, the last day of this challenge, side-by-side with the data from the first weigh-in, in order to show progress towards my personal goal.
I think 10 pounds is a very realistic weight loss amount for which to aim. (I hope to be at or below 145 lbs. by the end of this challenge, but my personal goal is to consistently weigh between 132-140 lbs.)
I will check back in on Wednesday.
Have a great weekend!

I am new to MFP and already joined this challenge on like my 2nd day using MFP and I am so excited. I forgot to post on Friday which will be my weight-in days, that I was 224.
Weight when I started MFP was: 228
Weight on Friday was 224.
My goal weight by the end of the challenge is to be down to 210-215.
My actual goal to lose is to get to 115. I am 17 1/2 yrs. old and have had trouble losing even 1 pound for as long as I can remember but I'm hoping this challenge will challenge me enough to make me lose the weight in a healthy, supportive and easy way. But the only issue is that I went away for the weekend and wasn't able to log my food and just ate almost everything in sight which us the exact opposite of what I want. Does anyone have any helpful tips to help me for over the weekends when I can't log .y food?4
