    Weird day yesterday.
Big truck broke down on the bridge and blocked traffic for over an hour.
Stood at the bus stop for an hour.
Got to work an hour late.
    Frustrations with data submissions.
Then my husband told me the power went out at home and it was off for 4 hours. A bird strike.
Dentist cleaning appointment. Apparently I have been grinding my teeth so hard I broke a metal filling in two. More dental work ahead.
Then my laptop was acting weird and really slow all evening. I ran Malwarebytes which indicated my laptop was free of viruses. But why so slow?
We had a ZOOM with our bee group but of course, ZOOM wanted to do a long slow update, so I had to get into the meeting through a "back door".
    Just not a smooth day.

DDILsent me a link to professional swimming goggles for Edie for Christmas. Bought those. I will get her another tiny thing to open as Bea has two presents. The goggles were expensive! But very beautiful. :o

John has got Max a book on quantum physics and he wants money for the rest. Hooray! So they are all very nearly done.

Lisa - your bags are amazing and I hope they will do very well when your e commerce goes live.

Tracey - Is your fair this weekend? Good luck! 👍

Excellent day all round. Even good tv this evening. I found an old dessert left over from last Christmas in the garage freezer! We had half each and it was delicious. :p Iced chestnut chocolate cream.

Back to my book tomorrow morning.

Phew- wow lots of catching up...
Michelle- I know this is hard to hear but for your plantar facitis to really go away ..you need to not be on your feet so much and rest..honest..the podiatrist will tell you that also..
Returned some shoes at UPS and waiting on something coming.
Taking Doris to Cracker Barrel tomorrow, and going out to dinner with the ladies Saterday night.

Machka: Sorry the day didn't go so smoothly.

Lisa: Did I miss something? Are you going to have a website with your products?

Heather: Glad the XMAS shopping is going well.

This is the first year I said I was not doing gifts. I have one friend to buy for and several dogs. Several others received a check. For My mother I purchased a tablet ..an Amazon tablet which does not come with the Google play store. Apparently one must take extra steps to add this. But my mother uses it for Libby and Hulu the library apps. She loves it so far!

I do have the Christmas tree up and will hang wreaths this week end...and some lights.

I ordered my ingredients for my Martha Stewart recipes. Apparently she has a documentary on NetFlix that I should watch!

The organizer came and stayed 90 minutes and we got so much done. I am starting to see improvement in the storage room. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It really is a bonus that she loads up her car and takes things away!

    Good evening beautiful ladies!

Today is my birthday! Yay! My sister is here and made me a marvelous chicken dinner with stuffing and gravy and cranberry sauce, and chocolate cake!

My Dad had a sing along performance so we all went to hear them sing. And tomorrow we will go out with C.

Have a lovely day my friends! May you all be happy, healthy, safe and free!

Barbie - good idea to have a car that can be serviced locally. Enjoy your new ride - what color is it?

I bought my Subaru at a dealer about 30 miles away, and it was a hassle if I needed to leave it overnight. I was glad when I found a local mechanic shop that was able to work on it plus they had a free shuttle service to scoot me home and come pick me up when the car is ready. I found out the Toyota dealer's service department in town has the same service! :D

Carol - what a day for you. Don't blame you for being frustrated.

    Sewers/Quilters/Crafters-

This local gal makes a lot of popular fabric items. Dog crate covers, dog raincoats, baby bibs, dog beds,
etc. Here's a link to her FB page if anyone is interested:

And a photo of those cute bibs!

The wind is gradually subsiding here. :p The house feels warmer already.

    Happy Birthday, Annie!

Barbie, you have a lot on your plate. I am so sorry you can not keep your red Tesla anymore. She sounds like a beautiful car. (Red is my favorite color.) I have a red Jeep, and I love it. It would break my heart to lose it. It sounds like you are mourning the loss of your beautiful car, alone time, and the peace you used to have when you drove without Jake. I get it and hope you will get your time back soon. Is there anyone that can help you out from time to time?

Carol, the bank thing is frustrating. I just discovered that my card was on hold due to fraudulent activity noted on 10/31/2024. Why didn't they tell me? So now I need to go to the bank and get a new card, then give the number to the pharmacy to pay for past meds and allow them to get my mom's future meds.
So, I understand that if it isn't one thing, it is another. I hope you have a better day.

Machka, I am so sorry you had a bad day. I'm not too fond of days when everything goes wrong. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Rita, thank you for sharing what you learned in your diabetic class. I learned so much. I have gone from working out three days a week to five days. Being healthy is a full-time job.

Heather, Happy Anniversary to you and John!

Michelle and Okie, would an orthotic help with PF?

Rebecca, thanks for being so positive. Your sons are all lucky to have you as a mom.

I better go and put my son's linen in the dryer. Have a happy day tomorrow, ladies.

:) We are now the happy owners (us and the credit union) of a 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross LE. It is silver and has less than 4000 miles. So far I know how to use the wipers, the lights, and the turn signals. I'll learn more tomorrow. Just knowing that the Toyota dealer is about 15 minutes away makes me happy. Turning in the red Tesla was a lot like coming home from a vacation in a place that was fun but not where you'd want to live your whole life. I am at peace with the decision.

:)Heather. how wonderful that you and John find delight in the same kinds of celebrations. You both look so happy

:)Rori, a man that can be attentive and helpful whenyou are sick is a winner. You are fortunate

Rosemarie - We had a projector light for Christmas that we shone on a tree. It died last year and we’re currently looking for another one.

Heather - Happy Anniversary to you and John.
Lovely outfit! Love the photo of the two of you.
I have two shows this weekend. Friday evening is a ladies only night, then Saturday is a full show from 10-4.
Next Saturday is also a 10-4 show.
Then the 14th and 15th of December.

Lisa - I love that bag. I’m also very envious of your craft room.

Machka - I’ll be working at least 10 more years too. I’m actually thinking it will probably be 14-16. I just hope I’m healthy enough to continue.
I don’t feel that I’ve had a good sleep in years. I wake up most days feeling like I was awake most of the night. This last week I’ve obviously slept because I’ve had dreams but it sure wasn’t a peaceful sleep.

Lanette - if you hadn’t prepared you probably would have had high winds. Your neighbourhood should thank you.

Barbie - I’m so sorry you have to switch cars. It makes sense but it hurts just the same I’m sure.
I am fortunate that Rodger is not a terrible passenger for the most part. I really hate driving with him though if there is traffic.

Evelyn - it was very scary. I never really did the bar scene, and we were probably relaxed that night because we were in a persons home and we knew most everyone.
Why is it so easy to let a habit slip than it is to build and keep it. It’s so odd.

Okie - I agree mine is in my heel as well, it started last summer and is still a struggle but not nearly as bad. I finally had to stop pushing through the pain and really give it a good long rest to heal properly along with the calf exercises and splint.

Allie - I agree 100% about Michele resting.

Rosemarie - I bet the organizer is a huge help. Sometimes you just need some help in these things.

    Annie - Happy Birthday!!!!

I had a frustrating day today. The system at work is awful. I feel like a data entry clerk that can’t do anything to help anyone instead of a manager that fixes things. I am so happy with everything but this system, if I ever look for something else it will be because of this.

Then I get home and my wonderful, smart husband tells me that he is going to sand a chess board he is making for our son in law in my kitchen! Not just hand sanding but an electric sander. He even had the nerve to get a little touchy with me when I said how much work that would make for me. I would have to wipe walls down, wash curtains, dust everything! His response was that his workbench in his shop has his tools on it so there is no room. I bit my tongue and didn’t tell him moving a couple of tools would be much easier than what I would have to do.
I don’t even know how he thought this would make sense.
I have come up with a solution to try to accommodate both of us. I’m going to buy plastic table cloths and make a tent that will hopefully contain the mess, however I hope he realizes how unrealistic this is and decide to move the tools.
    Ugh!
On a brighter note, my BFF sent me a text tonight that said Hi. I wrote Hi back and she said wanna chat? I said sure. As soon as I said hello when I answered she asked me what was wrong. She said she could tell by the way I said hi in text something was bothering me.
    I miss her so much.
I’m just in a terrible mood this evening so hopefully tomorrow is much better.

It’s going to be late nights and long days now until Sunday.

Heather: I so agree that we should make the most of every day. Your anniversary sounds delightful. Johnny and you were fortunate to meet. My anniversary wish for you both is that you have many more years of togetherness.

    Annie: 🎂Happy Birthday. 🎂

Yesterday morning it was below 0*C, and we had a dusting of white on our drive. It did rise a few degrees, but not many. Even the sun didn’t really help. We don’t usually get these temperatures until January, and at the coast, not even then.

I’m enjoying my few days of no scheduled activities. I’m working in my pieces for our November Monthly Meeting next week. I am showcasing my Creative Writing group. One of my members is also doing some readings.

🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

    Exercise today ...

    Nice warm lunch walk.
Nice fairly calm evening bicycle ride.
    Plus 22 flights of 20 stairs = 440 steps.
