Dang it! Holiday season and End-of-Year lunches and parties - and gifts of treats! - already begun. I try very hard to restrain myself at these events - I only eat salads and savories and avoid the cheese and crackers, alcohol and sweets - but then I start eating like crazy when I get home - even though I feel full already. I don't know why - it seems I need to eat a whole variety of foods - whatever treats I have in the pantry, waiting for the celebrations, I want to devour immediately - and once I've opened the dang packet, I feel impelled to finish it! Mainly carbs, but not cookies and candy - at least I've removed all those from the house, and I don't buy them any more. Now do I need to reduce on reducing salty snacks?0 -

I seem to be alternating nights of restraint with nights devouring all the food in the pantry/fridge that doesn't require cooking. Maybe I should only keep ingredients in the house? so if I want carbs late at night I have to put a potato in the microwave, or make myself a corn tortilla?0 -
