Is there more in the excercise database? It says calories burned zero?

Hello, this is my first time using this premium version.

I went to add an excercise (russian twists w/medicine ball @15lb), squats w/medicine ball, situps w/medicine ball, etc. and it doesn't seem to be a way you can incorporate that as an excercise.

I just selected abdominal twist & situps vigorous, out of the drop down list. The situps showed an amount of calories burned but the abdominal twists didnt.

Is there no way to calculate the calories when it comes to using medicine balls/reps,etc. or even weights (bicep curls, reverse flys).

Weightlifting does burn calories, but in MFP you find it under cardio, not weights. One generic bullet to cover all things weights, just figure out the total time you spent doing strength-related exercises, that's the time you plug into "cardio-strength training (weights)".

If you want to record individual weights exercises under the strength section you can as a personal log, but it won't impact cardio counts.

@nossmf Thank you for this. I had a chance to sit down and try to see what exactly you were referring to and found it. I'll do both that way I can recall what exact excercises I did but also be able to see how many calories I burned.
