How is it that I earn a 437 calorie adjustment for walking 14,000 steps one day but 1,000 calorie adjustment for walking 15,000 the next?? That is not proportionate at all. Makes me wonder how accurate the system is overall … Any ideas??

It's not just steps. It takes the calorie burned data from your wearable fitness device, which is based on more than just steps. HR and some other things all figure into the algorithm.0

^^ This. Many wearables are also tracking your heart rate, duration, elevation etc so 12,000 steps over the course of the day in short bursts, with no elevation gain and no real heart rate change will be very different, calorie burn-wise, to 15,000 steps in a sustained, heart pumping effort.0
