Brief Explanation of The 5% Seasonal Challenge

Many Seasonal 5% Challengers come here season after season to get/give support to their fellow team members. The Seasonal Challenges have also become a place where like-minded individuals come together and find that they even add real friends and/or /supporters to their lives!
Whether you are relatively new to the Seasonal 5% Challenges or a frequent and seasoned team member, this ‘forward’ is designed to help you quickly reference the guidelines that must be followed each week.
Exercise and Healthy Habits (HH)
These Challenges encourage exercise (some form of intentional exercise/movement) and practicing our ‘Healthy Habit’ suggestions.
Seasonal Challenges run for 8 weeks - from Saturday morning at 12 midnight (your local time) through Friday at 11:59 pm (your local time). During that time, you are required to exercise and participate in the weekly HH.
Exercise and Healthy Habits (HH) points must be reported for the week we are currently working on daily (or as often as possible) until the team achieves 6,000 exercise minutes to ‘break the ribbon.’ The second part of our exercise is getting as many points per team per week as possible. Your team will compete together and will be awarded additional points if they ‘break the ribbon’ in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.
In addition, Weigh-Ins are an essential part of the Seasonal Challenges and are due **EVERY** Saturday by 11:59 pm (your local time). We encourage you to weigh in on time (if not early). Weighing in early is always acceptable; late is late and can/will be counted against you. If you will be away for a weigh-in, consider posting your weight any time before you leave; if that is not possible, please contact your Weigh-In/Weight Leader to report that you will be away. Together, you will devise a plan to weigh in early or have your absence excused.
Participation IS required to remain active as a Challenger ‘in good standing. If you miss two (2) consecutive weeks of participating in the exercise/healthy habits and/or weigh-in portions of the Challenge, you will be considered ‘in default’ and will forfeit your team choice for the next round.
Finally, since we allow team members to join at any time, if you are late joining the Challenge, you will still be required to record your weight and are encouraged to immediately jump in with both feet!! Reach out to your leadership team for instructions if you need help determining where to record your weigh-in(s) and/or your weekly exercise/HH. THANKS!!
🏁 Race 🏁
It's a foot race! Each team has a goal of 6,000 minutes and a "ribbon to break." Exercise to help your team ‘break the ribbon’ before the end of the week as you and your team cross the finish line.
1 minute of exercise is 1 minute closer to the team’s goal of 6,000 minutes per week. Each team member may exercise as much as they wish but may only record a maximum of 120 minutes per day.

@Ceriusly1 this challenge has helped me to not only lose 108 lbs, but to also keep it off for quite a while, I may go up and down a few lbs, but the success of a program is when members are able to maintain the loss. A testimony to the 5%!0
