Hello, absolutely! No matter your disability, weight loss is a matter of calories in and calories out, and that's what MFP is here to count. The members here also have a wealth of information on movement and exercise for people of all abilities. Would you like to give some more details on any restrictions you're struggling with?

Of course it'll be OK for you to join!

What are your goals? The most common goal here is probably weight loss. If that's what you're aiming for, I know that there have been other people who lost weight with MFP who were wheelchair users, or who had other serious mobility limitations.

If there are questions you have or specific things you're concerned about, please post more details. In my experience, most people here truly want to help others. Generally, we're just regular people like you, not experts, but there are folks who have some personal experiences and can make suggestions on that basis.

Wishing you success, whatever your goals may be!

    So much!
For mental health--others who share your challenges to share with and support you.
For weight control--that's what it's all about.
For general health--2 heads are better than one. Lots of heads around here. Lol.
    Welcome, jump right in!

Same here. Have to use a walker and I know as I lose weight, helps with mobility. So glad I’m not alone.

I am disabled. back in 2008 I lost 32lbs without a single lick of exercise. Exercise is good. Do what you can but you don't have to be an athlete to manage your health and weight.

I am currently down 15lbs on this weight loss commitment. I stretch and do a short seated tai chi video. I tried a seated cardio last week thinking 'it's 12 minutes long... i can do it.' Nope. I made it 8 minutes and regretted the next two days. I have tumors in my muscles so my arms freaked out over the stress. Now I'm going slower. Doing what my body can handle.

    You can do it too.
