Can anyone explain The more you weigh the higher the calories you are given
I noticed cause i gained 5lb more of the weight i have listed and my calorie intake increased.
I just can wrap my head around eating more to lose weight.

Because the heavier you are, the more calories you burn existing. A 160lb person would burn more calories just going about their normal day if they were wearing a 50lb weighted vest, so a 210lb person burns more calories, too.1

How many more calories are you talking about?
A five pound weight gain would only increase your daily calories by less than 20 calories per day.
If the program adjusted it more than that it's either because you have a fitness device synced to Myfitnesspal and it's giving you more calories to account for your current exercise/activity level -OR- you changed something in your "Goals" -OR- there's a glitch. Glitches can be reported at "Help."0 -
If the increase is a few hundred calories and your settings are still the same, it's probably a glitch. I've seen several posts about it and I'm having the same issue myself.0

Also: MFP seems to have updated the activity level multipliers, based on new recommendations from the expert sources they use. Details here, in Jean's post:

It sounds like updating weight would trigger application of the new factors, per Jean's post there.0
