Calorie Recommendation Increased With Lower Weight?

I just updated my weight on MyFitnessPal to my current weight which is about 6ish pounds less than the weight it last showed. (I did not edit any other setting)
I was expecting the calorie recommendation might lower due to this (and I had just planned to edit it back up to where it was) but it actually went up by 110 cals per day (from 1880-1990).
I edited it back to 1880 because I feel good at that amount, am getting slow but steady weight loss, can lift well at the gym, and I always considered that I was eating 1850-1950 anyway since I know that we generally miss counting at least a few cals here and there.
But I was wondering why the calorie recommendation had gone up? I think this app is doing a better job at not recommending super low cals like it did when I was on it years ago, but I’m still a bit confused on why it went up in this case.
