    Please remember to take a rest & recovery day every now and then (once a week works well for me). I didn't know about rest days when I first started exercising, and the exhaustion/injuries that ensued set me back a lot. Now I know that I need to regularly give my body time to adjust to (and heal from) the increased stresses of exercising.

    Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two year have lost almost 90 pounds. I got to my goal weight in the last quarter of 2024, and now tackling the maintenance phase. There aren't too many maintenance threads on MFP, so hope you don't mind I hop on this thread for this part of my journey. I have been a member of a daily accountability group that really helped me, but would love to transition into a weekly one. I'm working on a buffer to make it so I never hit overweight again, but will be happy just to stay in the ideal BMI range the rest of my life. I'll weigh in on Wednesday, we'll see how that goes!

I was over my calorie limit 4 of the 7 days. Glad that I am still under the ideal weight category, but need to pull it together this week.
    ❤️February 19: 138.9 🥅 👣 📝🥗 🚶‍♀️🫀🏋️‍♀️⌚ All goals met! Was almost a perfect week - until my binge last night. Prior to that I was just over my calorie limit one day (my planned date night) and more than made up for it during the week. Then, last night a bit of a binge putting me over my calorie and sodium limit. I knew that I was under for the week which made for some self sabotage. I ended up under 732 calories for the week. I know I should be happy, I maintained and was down a little from last week, but still hard to get out of the losing mentality.
    ❤️February 26: 137.9 🥅 👣 📝🥗 🚶‍♀️🫀🏋️‍♀️⌚ All goals met! Good week; need to keep the momentum going. I leave for a trip Florida a week from today and would like a buffer before I go. Will check in again for last day of the month numbers.

    I was the same this week. In way that is good. It wasn't a gain :). But it isn't where I had hoped to be at the end of the month. Well, I will keep pressing onward. I did really well up until today. Wednesday's seem to be my decline.
