MY Food Diary ~ EDITING/Deleting??

Hello,
I'm planning a reboot/reset to my program as of 1/1/25. To that end, I've looked at (and have been frustrated with the MFP Food Diary.
I know how to add a food. I know how to add a food that is not listed (and/or the nutritional values in MFP are incorrect). Whatever the reason, I've added foods to MFP. For various reasons, I would like to DELETE the foods that I've added. I can't figure out a way to do that. There are areas that say that you can add/delete/edit but the only thing I can see to do is add something that is already something that I've used at one time or another. SOMETIMES - you choose something on MFP but find another 'staple' that you prefer to use - now both - the 'right one' and the 'wrong one' are both on your list of RECENT / FREQUENT / MY FOODS (I never added anything to MEALS or RECIPES, so I don't need a 'reset' there).
PLEASE MFP - allow us to customize our own lists with our own foods and/or be able to add/delete to our FREQUENT (or favorites) based on the most recent nutritional label data (sometimes the data changes because many packages are now 'smaller' - therefore the nutritional values can/do change).
If anyone knows how to DELETE what is stored in My Food Diary, I would appreciate a quick tutorial! Many, many thanks!!

Are you using web browser MFP, or the phone/tablet app? If the latter, Apple or Android?
I'm going to assume app, but if it's web browser, say so. I'm going to describe it in Android, but Apple is usually similar. If it's not, or you need screen shots to see it, post back.
In the app main entry page, click on the "More" menu. On that menu, click "Recipes, Meals & Foods". Next, click the "Foods" tab. There, click on the 3-dots thingie at top right. Next, click "Edit" in the drop-down.
Boxes should appear to the right of each food. Click the box(es) for Food(s) you want to delete.
When boxes are clicked, a trashcan icon should appear at top right. Click that to delete the checked off items.
Like I said, that's Android app. If you have something else, please say what you're using.0 -
I can't tell you how to delete. But I can tell you a workaround.
Edit the name of your no longer wanted item to "delete."
To avoid having a million "delete " foods, next time you want to add a food, instead of adding, edit a "delete".
I've been doing that with recipes for years.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have an iPhone but I'm sure I can figure it out from there. I was actually referring to my laptop (when doing editing and such, I prefer it on the laptop), but I'm going to give it a try. THANKS!! ~ Happy New Year!!0 -

Web browser, its Foods/My Foods, then click the food you want to delete, then the Delete button.

@Corina1143
Thank you for your suggestions. I sure wish there was an easy way to 'wipe the slate clean' for a new year (or a new start, whenever that is).
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!1
