New year

Once again I’m back, gained more weight ☹️ I have to stop eating myself to death! I have a life pro vibration plate, signed up for 6 months of Hypnozio and a badass *kitten* getting all fit & *kitten* weight loss journey, as well as MyFitnessPal app. Surely one of these will help or the combination of them. I’m desperate I am not looking to get super skinny, I just want to get healthy and stay healthy. I also have a portion plate, years of over eating it’s hard to realize what a healthy portion is🤷♀️ I need an AA group for weight loss. I use to go to tops, but those ladies were getting older and decided it was unsafe for them to continue to meet, worried someone might fall and break a hip. I have to say not only do I miss them, but the weekly weigh in and being accountable in person really did help me. Now I feel like I’m on my own and as you can tell I’m not doing well 🤦♀️ I’m back not because it’s a new year, but because I can’t seem to stop gaining weight and I need to be accountable and honest with myself.

Welcome back! I am an overeater and an emotional eater as well. I have used food as a reward; over the years, it has become my go-to solution for everything.
I finally ballooned up to 348 lbs and after a doctor's visit last year in December I got informed that my blood work was horrible. High cholesterol (of course) and I was now in the beginner stage of type2 diabetes with an A1C of 6.7.
I think I woke up that day. I signed up at Loseit but didn't care for it much, so I came here. The first weeks were very lonely. When I hit a 20-pound weight loss I complained about not having friends and many answered. Sadly, there is no way to communicate other than the forum (which is not the same as a daily update with a newsfeed. I signed with a few groups but most of them were not active anymore. I found one group that suited me, but many were taking weight loss injections and that's something I don't believe in. I finally found my group and I am having fun. Like-minded people with different goals.
In the end, we are on our own. If we want it bad enough then we will find a way to accomplish whatever our mission might be. I tried every fad diet out there. I also signed up for all kinds of fun stuff, which is so often promised to offer us an easy way out of obesity -just like weight loss injections or hypnosis.
It sounds like you know what your problem is but you haven't been able to say goodbye to your old lifestyle and eating style. It's more than just bad habits. We use food for daily (hourly comfort) and we grieve when we can't have it. We react like addicts do and the craving voices drive us crazy.
I don't have all the answers, but somehow I have found what works for me.
I know you will too, but you have to really want it.1
