Successfully Weaning Off GLP-1?

I am about to start a 6-month subscription and looking for feedback and success stories on transitioning from meds and maintaing with lifestyle changes. All respect, I am NOT looking to be scrutinized for this choice vs. diet and exercise alone. There are many threads for that in MFP, including in the Debate section. Has anyone weaned off meds and stayed near GW?

I've read that if you were doing the right thing while taking the GLP-1 medications1 and you continue your correct macros intake, exercises, etc. then you should do fine with your maintenance but if you were not following the guidelines and were eating and doing whatever you wanted then most likely you will gain all the weight back and then some and it will happen quite quickly. I'm very new to this app! Program so I look forward to reading stories from others who have gotten to the maintenance stage

It really is about maintaining the lifestyle, in the face of the challenge of not having the suppression of appetite anymore, and having the food noise come back. You will likely have to be more vigilant about measuring and tracking your intake.

Its kind of like you've been in a new country with a translator, and you've been picking up the language, but the translator's been doing a lot of the work, and now you are on your own. You've been there for a while, you know the basics, but it's going to be a learning curve to keep going by yourself.

Depends on the lifestyle changes you made and if they can stimulate the same hormones that GLP-1 medication do that regulate hunger, otherwise the proposition is doubtful.
