I am pretty excited to start the gym. So i was browsing for some programs and i found this routine
on r/fitness looks pretty basic and introductory which is what i need for now. My Question is; Can this routine
produce results or are there better more challenging/beginner programs?. How long should i stick to this routine minimum?

Have you ever lifted before? If not, welcome to the brotherhood/sisterhood of iron! There are six basic types of motion a well-rounded lifting routine hits, and this does cover all of them:
Horizontal push - bench press
Horizontal pull - BB row
Vertical push - overhead press
Vertical pull - Chinups
Hip hinge - deadlifts
Leg extension - squats
I'm not a fan of doing sets of 5 reps for people brand new to lifting, as the chance of injury increases dramatically when lifting heavy if you do not already have a well-built foundation of lifting experience in your background with a focus on proper form and technique. Thus, I would look at one of the programs listed in this thread here on MFP:

There are a variety of programs to select from, including a large number intended for people brand new to the lifting community. Whether you have access to a fully equipped gym, just some dumbbells in your home, or only your own bodyweight, there's a program for you, with full instructions of which lifts to do on which days, how many sets and reps, everything. Yes, there are a couple 5x5 programs listed under "beginner" but I would wait on those until you have been lifting for at least six months, to get you practice doing lifts safely before you try to do those same lifts heavy.2 -
Salamun alaikum!
The exercises best for you depend on your own body and your own preferences.
If you are new to the gym, I recommend going on YouTube and trying some workout routines that fitness athletes post.0
