Trying this Again

I've been a member of this site forever. In 2022 my doctor got me on Ozempic for my type 2 diabetes. I was able to drop 100 lbs (not easily - I was pretty sick the whole year). I got down to 202, and then we adjusted my dose, and I've gained back 30 pounds. I watch a lot of "My 600lb Life" and wondered if I could do a 1200 calorie/day diet. This site allows me 1600, but I try to keep it as close to 1200 as I can.

It's an experiment of sorts.

hey slovie. it is definitely doable to eat around 1200 calories and still feel like you are eating a lot. When i make salads they take me over an hour to eat. I now have veggies for dinner and lunch so it feels like i am eating more volume of food than when i started (though it could just seem that way :) )

I also have diabetes. though I am not taking Ozempic. perhaps you would like to join my friend group for support. I have already found the way of eating that works for control over my a1c. It would be interesting to see what works for other people.

Why would you want to eat 1200 when you can eat 1600 and still lose weight? It's not worth the faster weight loss, you will lose muscle, and there's other potential effects - I've just been diagnosed with gall stones after a very rapid loss in 6 months. Not fun.
