Hello,

I put on about 50kg in 2023 and early 2024. In 2022 I reached my ideal physique by logging everyday and reducing 30kg+ to reach ~80kg but then went traveling, stopped intermittent fasting, drank too much alcohol weekly, ate junk everyday, and let go.

I have to restart the process of reducing my body weight/fat and it feels like another mountain to climb. I’ve set the goal for Feb 2026 and to reduce to 82kg from 132kg. I’m 188cm (6ft2) tall and at 80-85kg I look lean and athletic and feel energetic. The hardest thing about transformations is rejecting social invitations to eat with family and friends but in 2022 when I achieved my goal I pretty much refused to eat in any place or time where I
couldn’t control or log calories.

Hoping that posting here will be helpful and keep me accountable to my goal. Any tips and suggestions would be appreciated

I completely understand not wanting to go out to eat and how it feels when the food you are eating is unknown or out of your normal routine. I just moved so the only way I see my mother is when she comes through town one day a week. We go out to eat. On that day I usually make that my only meal or just have a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. The time I spend with her is worth the few extra calories I may eat on that day.

However, why not try to find activities that don't involve food or drinking and invite your family and friends to that? Or Invite them over to your place for a meal that you can control. Make a game night and provide healthy snacks.
