Hi, you are in the right place to make your goals happen! 5 steps to see healthy steady results are
1)drink 20+ozs water when you stand up upon waking.
    2) eat protein (+20g) + fiber (any)within 30mins of wakeup
3)setup calorie goals and profile with pics here in your acct and log all food and excercise telogiously for first 4 weeks.
4)calculate your personal target heart rate for peak metabolic function. Excercise within your target zone 20 mins 3x/,week max! More is NOT better yet.
    5) most important step! Take 1 day off randomly every week!!!! No logging or working out, eat whatever you want to your fill.no guilt required! As results appear, you will automatically develop self discipline and regulation of intake foods and qtys.

This behavior outline has worked for me in the past and has again helped me drop 21lbs since January 24th 2025! Itll plateau occasionally but ill see my goals on time. I feel better already. Male, 53yo, started at 318#, goal 230lb. Workouts are stationary or actual bicycling, dirt bike riding, walking, planking, stretching, beginner yoga. Im in San Diego desert region looking for friends with like interests.

Good luck on your quest, make it real and seal the deal!

Welcome to mfp. The key to success is making changes you can stick with (yeap stealing this line from Ann). There is a lot of information on this site. Don't let it overwhelm you. Small changes will make progress.
