Hi. I’m Gabby. I’m on my journey to have a healthy relationship with food. I have been obese for two decades I want to lose these extra fat to avoid severe health problems.

All. The. Time.
Thing is, if I'm not religiously counting every calorie (AKA weight gain mode) I think about food; and if I am successful in logging my meals and staying in deficit/maintenance, it's absolutely required that I think about food throughout the day. Wegovy injections have helped with the compulsive/binge behaviours, but not the daily amount of time thinking about food.2 -
I have an issue with bored eating. I don't necessarily think about food but if I am not engrossed in something I will go to the kitchen and grab food. I am disabled so I don't work and am home for most of the time. I have 3 strategies to deal with this. 1) distraction. I try to find an activity that my brain will engage in. 2. Time goal. When I find myself wanting to the kitchen I will make myself wait 15 minutes and hope that the distraction kicks in. 3. I have jolly ranchers sugar free hard candy that I can put in my mouth if 1 and 2 don't work. I include the calories in my daily plan.
I hope this helps. It will get better as you develop new habits.
